CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION
Understanding the nature of childhood in the third millennium necessitates an understanding of parenting in the third millennium. Their parents and caregivers substantially shape children's lives and daily experiences, significantly impacting their cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional development (Bornstein, 2019, Skinner, Johnson, and Snyder, 2005). They also have a significant impact on the health and well-being of children.
Parenting is difficult and demanding now, as it has always been. Family life has evolved, posing new obstacles for parents and raising whether children should be raised differently (Zahran, 2011; Burns and Gottschalk, 2019). Many parents, understandably, are unsure how to master the parenting challenge (Dworkin, Connell, and Doty, 2013; Radey and Randolph, 2009). Today, many parenting support programs and information are available offline and online (digital platforms, blogs, campaigns, parenting programs, and other services).
However, many actors implement and administer parenting programs and other support services (Daly, 2013). Cost and quality may vary significantly, especially in nations where private, commercial suppliers cover a large share of the provision. Not all offers may live up to their promises (Institute of Behavioral Science, 2020; Haslam, 2016).
Parents may be overwhelmed by the variety of programs available and unsure of which is the best option. On the other hand, it may be challenging for governments and local governments to decide how to best support parents, such as which parenting method to promote through services and how to best address the needs and concerns of 3rd Millennium parents. Many parents resort to the Internet or parenting books, only to get overwhelmed and perplexed by the seemingly infinite number of parenting styles advocated for and warned against, ranging from holistic and attachment parenting to hothousing and buddy parenting (Burns and Gottschalk, 2019). Looking at the available material reveals a perplexing spectrum of advertised parenting practices with little or no evidence on the one hand and well-established and researched ways on the other. As a result, this publication presents a well-organized summary of the scientific parenting literature.
This study intends to establish an evidence-based framework for understanding parenting and its influence on child development. Maintaining children's healthy and prosperous development is a fundamental concern of parents, policymakers, and professionals alike. The paper focuses on child-raising practices that are relatively global, consistent, and stable across contexts and domains because they are thought to be important in predicting child outcomes (Rodrigo, Byrne, and Rodriguez, 2014]; Smetana, 2017). The phrase parenting method
is used in this work to refer to:
Parenting dimensions encapsulate the general characteristics of parents' child-rearing approaches. Parental warmth, for example, describes pleasant, reassuring, and empathetic parent-child relationships.
Parenting styles, which describe the parenting style in terms of various dimensions. For example, authoritative parenting refers to kind, loving parenting that establishes clear standards for children's behavior.
It is mandatory to be present at all times with one's children. There will be no exceptions for parents working two jobs to make ends meet, single parents, or parents of children with special needs. There will be no foolproof training manual given.
These lofty expectations, along with the fast-paced nature of modern living, provide tremendous challenges and demands for parents who really want to provide for their children without going insane. Many counselors assist clients in dealing with these and other modern-day parenting issues regularly.
CHAPTER 1: PARENTING, PROBLEMS, AND PRIDE
According to American Counseling Association member Laura Meyer, a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Bedford, New Hampshire, specializing in parenting issues and women's concerns, always-on
parenting necessitates a lot of problem-solving, which leaves parents concentrated on all the things that are going wrong. Working parents, in particular, find it impossible to attend every school function because most of them
