Unanswered

Prayer

I pray each night for peace within

For a time when the pain ends

And no more unbroken promises

The future will lay ahead uncertain

But the road is long and winding

This journey will be full of surprises

For one to finally know myself

Free my spirit within to let it sore,

High above, the beacon of my very being

I pray like never before,

For my soul to heal these mortal wounds

That time itself has inflicted upon me

So please hear my unanswered prayer.

Never to change for all time

Things to be done

On this journey of your life

Many wonderful things

Are still to come your way

Your winning smile
