When I was commissioned by the Lord as a prophet, I did not know that a prophet is a leader in the church of God. I have been taught by God the major role of a prophet in the midst of an ever changing doctrine in this modern age. A church that is in God's will is a place where a prophet is essential even today and yes! God still speaks to the leadership of the church and more so to His prophets! A pastor is supposed to work with the prophets of God to feed his sheep and lead them in the direction of God's will for each person. I have written my own experiences in God's presence and hope this book will be of benefit to the leadership of the church today.

What Is The Anointing For?

Anointing is God’s ability in a man. If a man has been living in obedience to God, he will receive the anointing of God upon his life. A pastor cannot receive God’s anointing upon him even though he is gifted with gifts from God. If he is not living in obedience to God, he will be an instrument in the kingdom of darkness. How can a person receive God’s anointing? Anointing is like a blessing upon a person’s life. You cannot ask God for His anointing upon your life. A person is anointed as and when God so desires. How does anointing change a person’s life? When a person has been anointed by God, he becomes an ambassador of God to represent God wherever he may be. An ambassador of God is a person whom God has approved and sealed as a minister of God for His service. When a person is in God’s service, he is given tools to use to effectively represent God.

A pastor cannot be an ambassador of God if he is not appointed to be a minister of God. A minister of God is a person whom God has tried, tested and approved to serve Him in a specific capacity. A pastor who appoints, approves and sends himself out to do God’s work, is like a person who has decided to start a company and offer a service to amass wealth. If the Lord has not built the foundation, the workers labour in vain. A worker cannot decide where and when to work without his master. When a pastor decides to set up his own church, send out his own missionaries, and collect his own tithes, he has become a god. A pastor is a helper in the church and cannot be the overseer of a church. Who is an overseer in the church? It is what this book will endeavour to explain to you as you continue your reading.

A prophet who has received the anointing of God upon his life will become an effective ambassador of God in every place that God sends him to. If God sends him out to a country that He wants to warn, he will be respected if he has not sent himself out! If a prophet is not an ambassador of God, he will be invited and will go as an invitee of a man to speak what they who love the world have decided he should speak. Such a prophet is in an effective tool in the kingdom of the enemy and will sow confusion in the church of God. Who is a prophet who is an ambassador of God? A prophet who is an ambassador of God is a man who has been tried, tested, approved and commissioned by God to be a spokesman for God in a specific place and time. If you think that an anointed prophet is a man who will tell you about your future, you are deceived. Yes! A prophet may tell you about your future but it is not his role. He may tell you your future in metaphorical language or may give you a warning that you may not be able to act upon. The main purpose of a prophet in a church is to edify it.

If you are a person who has a plethora of curses in your life, a prophet would not be the best person to seek at the time the curses begin manifesting! Why? A prophet is a man who will act according to God’s will and will not set his own agenda. If God wants you to seek him but you rather decide to seek a prophet, you will get discouraged by him. He will speak as though you not in urgent need of God’s intervention in your life. It does not mean that God does not love people who have curses in their lives, what it
