About this ebook

What Is The True Religion? presents an engaging and simple question-and-answer format to make the crucial matter found in its pages easy to understand by all ages and test the knowledge and faith of readers.

A.K. Davies, evangelical Christian apologist and cult survivor, lays out in this small book the fundamentals of the three great monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Although these religions are centuries apart and have different precepts, Davies shows how they come together to expose a powerful truth—a truth found not only in the established historical facts, but their very scriptures.

He does this by listing established historical facts and data that most biblical scholars, including sceptics and atheists, regard as true; providing unbiased statements from experts in the field who agree on the evidence; and exposes fundamental contradictions further pointing to the truth. An extensive reference list supports his findings.

The author's motive for his lifelong search for truth stems from a troubled childhood as part of an abusive and secretive cult that twisted religious scriptures and preached something that contradicted the Bible. His research along with the empirical historic facts and data has led him to one truth, and that truth is… you will have to read to find out.

very wrong interpretation of Islamic knowledge e.g stating no where it is written that gospel was corrupted. THE ANSWER. Many places of Quran mention that "they write the book with their own hand and called the word of God" Similar statements were found in multiple places. The specific name is not written because Quran was referring to earlier Books including, Injil, Torah, Zabur, Psalms. The word Bible was given by someone who wrote the book and it means The Book and it was not the book written by Jesus in fact nobody including Christians know about those people who wrote the Bible and from where they got the information and that is why they use the work inspired people.
Similarly, Quran was compiled in the book form during the first Caliphate and before that was also present in the written format in the life of Muhammad but compile in one book during the first Caliphate, not after 100 years as mentioned in this book. Many mistakes in this book

Introduction

My search for truth came after a difficult childhood raised in an abusive cult in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. I lived as a member of this cult for the first fifteen years of my life. The pastor who owned and operated the cult and all its subsidiaries described it as the world’s one true church.

This pastor took biblical scriptures and manipulated them into something they were not. His distorted interpretations of scripture gave fathers, cult elders and random men in the community the right to storm into the rooms of children at any time and violently beat them for the sins they did and did not know about.

The pastor of this cult had brainwashed and manipulated us into believing that if anyone left or was kicked out, God would no longer protect them or love them; that at the end of the world, they would be cast into hell for all eternity. Furthermore, their families were forced to disown them. Families were shattered and people took their own lives, all for the personal aggrandisement of this pastor.

I have been motivated to write this book to help people like me who grew up ignorant of the truth. It is important to know that I did not assume, nor believe the world’s three great monotheistic religions all point to one source of truth, on the contrary. Yet after investigating these religions in-depth and the irrefutable findings therein, I felt it essential to share this information globally.

Today, in the 21st century, our culture defends and supports subjective truth rather than objective truth: I believe something, and because I believe it, regardless of the empirical evidence against it, this is my truth, and you are wrong to say otherwise.

Little wonder that people struggle and are confused and question what is the true religion. There are 4,300 religions and tens of thousands of cults saying theirs is the truth, while society tells them, Truth is whatever you believe it to be. People today speak of "my truth and your truth, rarely about the truth".

Yet, out of all the religions and cults in our world today, three great monotheistic religions have stood the test of time: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This short book presents years of historical research and investigation into the books and scriptures of these three great faiths to reveal how, despite their differences, they each point to the one source of truth: Jesus Christ.

Chapter 1

What is Truth?

W hat is truth? is the famous question delivered, perhaps in jest, to Jesus of Nazareth by Pontius Pilate, the fifth governor of the Roman province of Judaea under Emperor Tiberius (AD 26–36). Pilate is best known in the New Testament for being the official who presided at the trial of Jesus of Nazareth and ordered his crucifixion.

The question of truth has been the focus of debates by ancient philosophers such as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. It is used to verify our history, civilizations, ancestors. It is used in courts of law to this very day to verify a witness’s testimony and bring justice to those who need it. It is used to do business and raise children. However, truth has also been twisted and used as a tool to wage war and ideological violence, conduct mass murder, enslave peoples … the list goes on.

For Pontius Pilate, there was no truth. There was only political expediency and personal fortune. Sound familiar? Like the culture we live in today?

Over the centuries, truth has become less of a means to understand, to learn, to uncover, and more a way to promote propaganda and personal agendas. Today, the objectiveness of truth has been muddied so much that society tell us truth is whatever you believe it to be, that people speak of my truth and your truth but rarely about the objective truth. We fly across countries and murder each other because the newspaper conglomerates tell us we are being attacked. We capture, enslave and exterminate millions all because
