Raise the foundations of many generations, prophesy over them and school them into supernatural knowledge, wisdom, and exploits; impart into them my power and wisdom; release them into their glorious and unparalleled destinies.

Introduction

Faith is one of the most undermined spiritual virtue in the church today. The more the material world gains ground, the more people walk by sight — by things they can see and touch. It is very hard to appreciate the importance of faith if everything is going on well in your life. Sad to say that many things today have taken the place of faith. It is even terrible because this is now happening in churches and with Christians. Most people no longer have faith in God and His Word. Yet, they have more faith in charity organisations, governments, corporations, and the health systems of this world. I pray that will not happen in your case. Faith in God and His Word is a must in order for you to stay connected to His presence.

If the preachers or pastors are not preaching about the importance of faith, we can’t blame anyone for having zero faith. Yes, they are not to blame at all! What I want you to know is that faith cannot and will never be outdated. Faith is the very spiritual ingredient that gives us access to God’s presence. Many times, I have lived by faith—this is my environment! Faith is the environment that God has designed for you and me to dwell in if we have to be in touch with Him.

Faith is irreplaceable! Nothing can take the place of faith. Faith is a unique entity, and it is complete within itself. Faith does not need any help—it is self-reliant and all-powerful. So when I talk of faith, I’m talking of faith in Christ Jesus and His Word. Faith is the master key to a world of impact—if you want to make impact in your life, faith is a must. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Any message that has no faith is out of alignment with God.

Many people claim to have faith, yet they have little or zero faith. Talking about faith is not what brings it into your life. No! Saying that you would love to eat food does not make you full—it is basically you taking the step of swallowing the actual food that puts food into your stomach to make you full. Nothing else, but just that! Likewise, it is taking the raw Word of God into your life that brings faith in your life. Faith is not just what you say, but also what you do.

In this book, we are going to have a profound look at some nuggets of faith, and what faith can do and make out of you. You already know that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is the very epicentre and backbone of Christianity. Your life without it is not safe!

You can’t even operate in the supernatural realm without faith. Miracles and breakthroughs do not happen because of your praying ability, but because you have faith in God. Any prayer offered outside of faith is powerless and can’t attract God’s attention. It takes faith to command the supernatural! You can’t have faith and never know it. Faith is not a wish, but something you cultivate by the intake of God’s Word in your life.

Growing your faith is growing your life and destiny. Only faith will make a difference in your life. You can’t operate in the God-kind of faith and remain the same. I pray that as you read this book, your life will experience a total turnaround!!

The Meaning of Faith

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Many times during our church services, I have asked my congregants or parishioners about the definitions of faith. It is amazing to say that everyone has such great and diverse definitions of faith. However, I came to understand that faith is more than just a definition. You can define faith the way you want using glamorous and powerful words, yet that does not bring it—it does not produce it! There is only one major and fundamental way faith comes in your life.

Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Without hearing the Word of God in your life, faith won’t come! It doesn’t matter how prayerful you are—without hearing the Word of God, faith won’t come. Coming back to faith definitions, there is nothing wrong with defining what faith is! Of course, you have to know what faith is for you to agree with it. However, you can have the best definition of faith, yet have zero faith at work in your life. There is more to faith than just defining it.
