Dr. Samuel Adeagbo

Dr. Samuel Adeagbo is an ordained minister of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is a passionate preacher and teacher of the Word of faith. He has a mandate of liberation of mankind through the preaching and teaching of the whole and balanced Word of God evidenced by living proofs of miracles, signs, and wonders that follow. Pastor Adeagbo ministers the Word of God in conferences, conventions, crusades, and revivals in churches. He holds degrees in Education, Social Science, Administration and Theology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, International Theological Seminary, Los Angeles, USA respectively, among others. He was an outstanding scholar of the University, Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) with official commendation at graduation. He was a recipient of Nigeria Academic Scholarship/Merit Award. He also holds doctoral degrees (Honoris Causa) in Leadership, Divinity, and Biblical theology. Dr. Samuel Adeagbo is also a recipient of the prestigious Proclamation from the Borough of the Bronx in the state of New York, USA for outstanding spiritual and leadership impact in the United States of America. Pastor Adeagbo is the lead Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Liberty International Model Assembly (LIMA) also known as Christ Apostolic Church of America in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is also the General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church WOSEM, USA, Canada, UK and Europe. Pastor Samuel Adeagbo was mentored by Apostle (Dr.) Timothy Oluwole Obadare in practical ministry for decades before he went to be with the Lord. He is a committed follower of the life and ministry of Bishop David Oyedepo. Pastor Adeagbo loves God, His Word and people passionately. No wonder he has passion for souls. This book is first and foremost dedicated to the God Head of Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and the integrity of His Word which is the source, the ground and the foundation of faith.

It is also dedicated to the Fathers, the Heroes and the Apostles of faith, too numerous to mention, beginning from Abel to the contemporary ones in the 21st century.

But I owe it a duty to mention, Kenneth E Hagin Sr, Apostle Dr Timothy Obadare, Apostle Dr K.C Price, Pastor Timothy Adeyinka and my current hero and human guide on faith and ministry, Bishop Dr David Oyedepo. They are heroes and fathers of faith.

They have influenced my knowledge, under standing and journey of faith tremendously. It is also dedicated to those who will dare to walk by faith and not by sight based on the integrity of the revealed word of God.

Introduction

I am critically concerned about the nature of the faith that today Christians exhibit or operate in. This is one major reason I wrote this book, Wonders Of Faith.

While it appears that some Christians have no need for a book like this because, with the help of the Holy Spirit at work in them, their lifestyle just seems to fit into all the truths contained in this book; however, there are a number who live such a frustrated and ignorant lives; and it’s disappointing to comprehend that they have finally settled for it.

This category of people has heard others say, Life in Christ is pleasurable and enjoyable. However, in their own experiences, "the path that leads to eternity is rough. Ironically, they are known to be born again, Bible Scholars and spirit-filled Christians. They have neglected the thought of overcoming the challenges of life in all ramifications, rather they have limited their fate to heaven is my goal," irrespective of what the situation looks like around them.

To this set of people, they fill their hearts with only the thoughts of life after death; ETERNITY, which has in many ways constrained their way of living here on earth. Christians need to know that the same God who commanded us to be sober, vigilant and to watch carefully for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, also instructed us to occupy till He returns. Luke 19:13:

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Therefore, as we continue to live ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we must also continue to prosper and multiply in all aspects of life; in our efforts to dominate our world and subdue it for the Almighty God.

Prayerfully, I hope millions of Christians that will come across this book and read through, would find fulfilment in activating their faith for a triumphant Christian living, to the magnificence of God. I also believe there is no height anyone can get to assume he no longer needs to acquire knowledge. Therefore, no matter who you are in Christ, I pray that as you read through this piece, you would identify areas of lack, receive strength for improvement and radiate the glory of God forever and ever, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Chapter 1

What is

Faith?

"But without faith it is impossible to please him (God)…"

Hebrews 11:6

From this scripture above, we can deduce, first, that faith is the foothold for a sound relationship with God. In other words, it is impossible to commune with God without faith.

Faith is a walk and it’s a talk. It is walking and working in agreement with God. Faith is absolute confidence and trust in God. It is absolute reliance on God. Faith is resting in God and on God. Faith is reasoning with God in His Words to determine your steps on the earth.

Faith is a living spiritual force that is drawn fro m th e Wor d of God, whi ch is Rhema, producing living proofs. That is, faith has evidence. If you say you have faith, what are your evidence? Faith is acting on what you believe; it is behaving the Word of God. Abraham was called the father of many nations, even when he has no child yet to call his, but he believed. Against hope, in hope, Abraham believed and eventually became. We are all descendants of Abraham. This is because he believed the prophecy, behaved and became it.

Our God is reliable, dependable and trustworthy. Therefore, the law that activates anything and everything that works in the Kingdom is the law of absolute faith in God.

Faith is obeying

God to prove

that you believe

in Him, in order

to commit Him

to His Words.

Whatsoever He tells you to do, do it. And when you do it, it happens. That’s faith. I told you that faith is the power-point between the heavens and the earth. It is the receiver that connects you to the supernatural. Do you want to live a supernatural life? Just believe because faith works wonders.

Faith is reasoning with God through His Words to determine your steps. To believe in God is to believe that He is, and that His Word is true. That is to say that faith is taking God by His Words. It is believing that there is nothing God cannot do. It is behaving the Word of God. Faith is acting on the Word of God.

Abraham was giving glory to God despite the deadness of his body and Sarah’s womb. This action is borne out of his confidence in God’s Word that cannot fail, as spoken to him in Genesis chapter 17:5:

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

God didn’t say, ‘I am going to make you.’ He looked at Abraham, who was barren in his loins, and the wife in her womb, and said: I have made you; you are already a father of many nations. How preposterous does that sound?

God told Abraham that he is already a father of many nations, even though he may look and feel barren, everything around him may be singing barrenness, but what matters is that He has already made him a father of many nations.

Faith is calling those things that do not exist as if they are already there. Abraham took the Word and was behaving it. That is faith! Faith is acting on and behaving the Word of God. Faith is obeying God to prove that you believe in Him. It is trusting in Him in order to commit God to do what He says. It’s simply obeying God.

Jesus told Peter to cast his net into the deep for a catch. Meanwhile, for almost 24 hours they worked in that place, they caught nothing; there was no fish. But Jesus said, ‘cast your net into that place, that same place where you didn’t catch any fish; cast your net into it.’ However, Peter being a professional fisherman said, ‘Master, I have worked and
