- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a really great cookbook. It felt like it was geared for a beginning vegan and had great explanations about the vegan lifestyle as well as information about the new foods lots of new vegan's will encounter - especially grains and butter. The recipes were mostly very straightforward and simple, some with ideas on how to prepare ahead. There were a lot of vegan cheeses and meats in the recipes, so if that's not your thing be prepared to make some substitutions. Also really helpful were the call out boxes called "Coaching Corner" which provided helpful hints and facts about the food in the recipes. The only downfalls I saw were there weren't as many pictures as I wanted and I wanted more detailed information on tofu. I was provided an advanced copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
