I dedicate this book to my old ICQ buddy Nightwolf;
For it is he who helps keep the ideas moving!
Acknowledgements
Giving praise to Nightwolf for the setting of Kiruna, Sweden and Aila’s character that he came up with. She is a real piece of work, that one! Lol! Lest we not forget that Mikael is modeled after Micael (Nightwolf) himself. I howl a moon praise to my Viking brother in arms.
Blood and honour!
Thanking Jay Crudge once again for everything he must deal with. Like how I send him chapters in email while he is reading them. Did you just send me another chapter while I’m still reading the chapters you just sent?
He would ask me. I’d laugh and say ‘yes’. Oh my God, Kiltro.
His quotes. True story bro!
A special thanks to the band Various Methods for permission to publish lyrics of his first single Fall. The song will be out while you read this story. You will hear more about this band and their music in future volumes of Wolf Moon Chronicles and Crimson Prophecies. Perhaps in some of my other books there be mentions also. You have been doing a great job of putting your music together and I’m proud to have been apart of it as your official listener. Keep on rocking brother. Love your music. Peace out!
Like to thank Amazon for having a publishing platform so that I can do what I do best.
Thank you, Book Brush. You have enabled me to make some cool covers thus far.
Here we are. So, I like to thank myself for actually… writing this stuff out and progressing the story forward. It is an honour that the fans like the works being presented to them.
Thank you all for reading!
Blessed be.
Bloody Hunt
The only feeling I have is the great satisfaction a hunter feels who has killed a beast of prey,
-Lyudmila Pavlichenko, Lady Death
They hunted.
They ravaged.
They tore the flesh from limbs.
Bloody parts were scattered across the wooded landscape. They fought a rival pack from Finland. They were the Näkkälä pack. It was a small spread-out community in the northern parts of the country.
Aila came to bring these wolves to heel under her rule. Thus far it was a mass killing field. Aila had called upon other Swedish packs and the Nord. Her pack pushed the rivals back. The snow was covered red in blood. Heavy snow in June. Summer was almost here and there was damnable snow. Aila gritted her canines. She was in no mood for this shit.
In the distance there were katas in a circle. Aila thought this strange. She raised her hand to halt her pack.
A lone figure walked toward her. They wore furs and hides. They were hooded and bore a staff. They stopped a short distance away.
Why have you attacked us, Sun Shaman?
The Figure asked. These are Sámi lands.
Aila raised her brows. The huts were Sámi, but as far as she knew these lands were not Sámi. Not that she cared anyway. These wolves were to be brought to heel.
Submit to me. I am your Alpha,
Aila commanded.
You are not my Alpha,
the figure growled. I will never bow…
the figure gasped and backed up a step at the sight of Mikael. Fafnir,
she uttered. The figure looked to Aila.
He is your son?
She asked. Aila smiled.
Yes!
she replied. Now submit or perish,
No!
Aila spun on her son.
You dare,
she growled and gnashed her canines.
We need alliances not dead bodies to bury. They are Sámi. Melody's people mother. We cannot afford a war with the Moon Shaman,
he finished. Aila's eyes flamed. This was about to go sour quickly. Son or not she would punish him here and now if he showed anymore disobedience.
I swear fealty to you, young lord, son of our Prime,
the figure said. She removed her hood and a long-braided silver locks fell about her form. Her silver eyes flashed in triumph. Her features may have looked delicate, but she was far from it. She showed a bite mark upon her neck.
I was his first mate. I am Freya, Warrioress of the Sky,
she said, and her eyes flashed with silver flame. Aila smirked.
Is that so?
She questioned doubtfully. Freya turned away.
You are welcome into my kata, Aila. We have things to discuss.
Damn straight we do, you silver eyed witch,
Aila sneered. The ‘Silver Eyed Witch’ smiled knowingly. They walked into her hut. Freya motioned for Aila to sit.
Mikael and Melody were together and stood separate from the rest of the pack. A dark maned wolf offered them to sit by his fire. Melody accepted, along with Mikael. They sat with the man and spoke. Other members of this strange Sámi tribe joined them.
Olga watched and glared. Mikael motioned her over. She gave him the middle finger and mouthed ‘Fuck Off’ and stalked off with her brothers in tow.
Alright pack we are leaving,
Olga shouted. I’m not staying here with these bastards, she thought. She surveyed who was leaving and who stayed.
Of course! That Helmi and her boy toy Russkie pup were staying, Olga’s thoughts grew nasty. They did not need those Nord cunts anyway. Aila should have burned them all.
Olga transformed into her golden wolf self and took the pack back home.
Mikael watched her leave with a frown on his face. How the hell was he and Melody going to be able to bridge the gasps between the different packs when no one was willing to listen or understand each other? It was frustrating.
Melody placed her hand in his. He gripped it and brought it to his mouth in a gentle kiss. She smiled fondly and kissed his lips.
She will come around some day,
she assured him. He did not believe so. Olga’s hatred of the Sámi and especially Melody made it hard for him to think Olga would ever accept the Sámi. He breathed out a sigh.
You have many troubles within your soul friend,
the dark maned man said. His accent was not Sámi, yet familiar.
Mikael blinked. He had to ask.
Are you First Nations?
The man smiled and nodded.
I am of the Mohawk Nation, from Canada.
Mikael and Melody looked to one another and smiled. They both leaned forward and spoke about going there one day soon. The copper skinned man kept his voice low.
I shall take you there, if you like.
Fox Daughter
My fox daughter;
Eye of blue;
Eye of silver;
Fafnir’s daughter.
-Freya
Aila was content and satisfied. More so even. The pleasure she was able to feel mating with the silver eyed Freya was beyond anything she had ever experienced since Fafnir. She honestly craved more. Aila touched Freya's pale silvery skin. The woman was absolutely, perfect. Not a single blemish or scar marked her body. The werewolf nuzzled the first mated woman of Fafnir in the neck, right where she had bitten her during the night.
Freya rolled into Aila's embrace and kissed the she-wolf tenderly. The sun shaman gave a low throaty growl and nipped the other woman's lower lip. Freya chided playfully. Soon, the two women were in the throes of passion once again.
No sooner than when they were done that someone walked into the kata. Aila looked at the woman who came in with interest. She knew instantly who's daughter she was. Daughter to both Fafnir and Freya. She was striking with long pale platinum blonde hair that curled down near her ankles. She had some of the elf like features but also the rough Sámi look. The eyes were striking indeed. One of pale icy blue and the other silver witch like.
Aila raised her brows. A sudden flood of desire hit her.
Apologies for the interruption Mother. I have returned,
her voice was silky soft. She looked to Aila with interest. She even wrinkled her cute little nose. The curiosity in her large eyes was predominate.
Welcome home my daughter,
Freya greeted and kissed her daughter’s cheek. She was about to introduce Aila when her daughter stepped forward.
"You are Beaivi, Sun Shaman,
