T he prince’s golden eyes snapped open. His heart was racing from his most recent nightmare. It had involved a shadow like creature with claws the size of daggers. Its claws piercing his chest felt real to the cat anamalis. He rubbed a shaky hand between his ears. He calmed his heart before dressing for the day and heading down to the dining hall.
On the way he stopped in the hall that held painted pictures of his ancestors. Only one shared his traits. While they had the golden eyes and orange hair, the others had brown hair with either sapphire or emerald eyes. The ancestor had lived roughly a thousand years ago when the ancient Altanians died off. His father had told him the stories of his bravery during the Shadow Crisis. Flame Kimera longed to be like his ancestor. Brave and willing to take on all challenges that were tossed his way.
In the dining hall, Flame was greeted by his mother and two younger sisters. Good morning sweetie
greeted his mother cheerily. He bid her a good morning and sat between his sisters. Don’t forget, your knights training is cut short today
. The prince nodded at her words. While she hated the fact he wanted to be a knight, she wasnt willing to crush his dreams. He bid them farewell before heading off.
Flame was knocked to the ground once again by his mentor. His mentor was a mouse type anamalis that had been the youngest to become a knight within the Plains Region. Something is distracting you my prince
