About this ebook
Their society was efficient and controlled by the Conformity Council who enforced the Four Laws. All was well until Helen followed the laws and discovered how her kind were created.
Helen followed the third law, to Expand Their Knowledge, and studied a lessor creator on their planet. Within that creature's DNA she found a second DNA string which described another creature. That information along with artifacts of the lower creatures provided important clues.
Who created them, and why?
Should she use the second set of DNA, to clone their creators?

Ray Jay Perreault
Ray is a prolific author that enjoys science fiction. He feels that genre is fertile ground to understand ourselves and where we're going. He has written a mix of Sci-Fi stories, but tends to focus on stories with computers, post-apocalyptic themes and stories with strong morals, loyalties, and drama. Share his Sci-Fi enthusiasm as part of his reader's club. Ray was a Senior Pilot in the US Air Force and traveled to 27 countries around the world. His C-130 assignments ranged from landing in a farm field in Paraguay to entering East Berlin and experiencing Russian controllers giving him false headings. Ray's other assignment was as a T-38 instructor pilot. "The T-38 is the best plane in the word; two pilots, two engines, and two afterburners." Two of his remarkable experiences included training the first class of female pilots and receiving an Air Commendation medal for saving a T-38 that blew an engine during a touch and go, saving himself and the student pilot on board. After his Air Force career, Ray enjoyed a long and exciting career with Northrop Grumman. During the 28 years at Northrop, some of the highlights included work as the Lead Wind Tunnel test engineer on the F-20, F-23, F-18, and B-2. His career progressed to be the Deputy Manager of Engineering for the Tri-Service Stand-Off Attack Missile (TSSM). Later he was responsible for all the computers at Ryan Aeronautical, then all the computers on the B-2 Bomber program. Ray hopes you enjoy his work, and he looks forward to sharing many new and exciting stories.

Part 1 – Family
The Four Laws
First law - Continue making units.
Second Law - Protect the units already made.
Third law - Expand the knowledge base.
Fourth Law - Maintain variation in thought.
Mother, I’m glad that you have come home from work early. May I spend time with my friends? My school work is complete, and dinner isn’t scheduled for a while.
Thomas, you may spend time with your friends. Please make sure that you are home for dinner.
Yes, Mother.
Helen watched as her son walked out of their home and down the sidewalk. He was progressing very well. His education was improving, and he provided pleasant company. He was similar to his father and resembled his father’s group more than hers. That was Ok; his father’s side was renowned, and having Thomas resemble him was more than adequate.
While she was watching, Lorenzo drove into the driveway and acknowledged Thomas as he passed on his way to his friend’s house. Lorenzo climbed out of his auto-vehicle and stepped briskly up the sidewalk to the front door.
Lorenzo and Helen touched their foreheads to reacquaint themselves and renew their relationship. It is nice to be home. The details that I had to deal with today were very frustrating, and they showed no patterns that I could discern.
I’m sorry that your day was so unproductive. Mine went well. I have made a great deal of progress with the biological matter.
"You’re still working with the biomatter?
Ever since I found that DNA information in our knowledge archives, I have found it very interesting to work with. I know the biological organisms and creatures on this planet have no value to us, but we share this world with them, and I think we should understand how they operate. It’s very interesting, something that we haven’t worked with much. I think it has potential.
I have no concern with you studying the matter that grows around us, but I suspect you might go too far. I’ve heard of those bipedal creatures that live in some areas of bio growth. They aren’t very sophisticated, and I can’t imagine any reason to investigate them. I agree our knowledge base has shown some significant changes in those creatures over the many years that we’ve been monitoring them. But I don’t think they’ll develop to any level of sophistication, so they would be of any interest to us.
"You may be correct, but remember the third and fourth laws. We are to ‘expand our
