John W. Crawford is a retired educator with earned degrees in B.A., B.S.E. from Ouachita Baptist University, AR (1959); M.S.E. from Drake University, IA (1962); and Ed.D. from Oklahoma State University, OK (1968). Crawford taught in public schools in Iowa and in colleges and universities at Clinton College, Oklahoma State, and Henderson State University (professor emeritus of languages and literature). He has four previous volumes of poetry and has won many poetry awards from regional, state, and national groups. Crawford has also read his poetry at numerous literary and philological meetings.
