Introduction
GREEN PEAS:- Quick frozen peas is defined as the product prepared from fresh, clean, sound, whole, immature seeds of peas which have been washed, sufficiently blanched to ensure adequate stability of color and flavour during normal marketing cycles and which confirm to the characteristics of the species Pisum sativum L.
PROCESS FLOW

Process
Raw Material
Indent Of Raw Meterial:
Initially, a production plan is prepared by the production department as per the requirement of raw material (here, green peas). An indent is prepared by the production department for the current processing schedule and is then sent to the procurement department.
Points to be considered while preparing indent:
(a) Availability of remaining raw material from last indent
(b) Availability of man power in plant
(c) Market cost of raw material
(d) Availability of electricity
(e) Breakdown of processing machinery, if any
(f) Quality of arriving raw material including pointers like, maturity levels, required standards etc
(g) Distance of location from where raw material will arrive
1.2.Arrival of Raw Material:
After the indent of required amount of raw material, green peas arrive in gunny bags of 50 to 60 kg in trucks within the plant premises. Once the security check is done, details of the vehicle along with other documents are handed over to the store department for weighing of the lot. Meanwhile, information of arrival of raw
