Chapter1
Our first step should always be letters and numbers!
¡Nuestro Primer paso debe ser siempre letras y números!
Dear reader, welcome to our first Spanish lesson, Querido lector, bienvenido a nuestra primera lección de Español!!
In this audio book you will learn the most common phrases and a very extensive initial vocabulary, en este audio libro aprenderás las frases más comunes, y un extenso vocabulario inicial, so please be attentive to every practice and absorb all you can!
You are going to hear phrases and descriptions in both languages, with the only purpose of getting you familiar with the sounds and phonetic of the Spanish.
So, get comfortable and enjoy the journey!
¡Así que ponte cómodo y disfruta del viaje!
Let´s start! Empecemos,
As almost every language, letters are the base of our writing, reading, and speaking, como casi todos los idiomas, las letras son la base de nuestro escribir, leer, y hablar, therefore we should start with them, es por ello que debemos empezar con ellas.
They compose words, and the words phrases, and will help you pronounce properly and affine your ear: Ellas componen palabras, las palabras frases, te ayudarán a pronunciar correctamente, y a afinar tu oído!
So, let´s learn the abecedary first! Repeat after me!!
Así que, aprendamos el abecedario, ¡Repite después de mí!
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Ñ, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. (should I put the pronunciation?)
Let´s repeat one more time: repitamos una vez más: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Ñ, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
Now let´s practice the very new one for you: Ñ – (Egne) Ñ, with this letter we will find very common words in Spanish such as boy and girl, con esta letra encontraremos palabras muy comunes como: Niño (Boy), Niña (Girl), or Cañón from Gran Cañón – Grand Canyon, repeat it as many times as you like: Ñ (egne) so your brain will retain it and add it to you list of new words.
Here there are some words: Aquí tienes algunas palabras!
Baño (Bathroom) – Uña (Nail) – Araña (Spider) – Pañal (diaper) – Piña (Pineapple)
Now let´s try with objects that start with those letters learned, Ahora intentemos con cosas u objetos que empiecen con esas letras aprendidas:
In this lesson you will be able to learn vocabulary,
A: Avión (Airplane), B: Barco (Boat), C: Casa (House), D: diente (Teeth), E: Emoción (Excitement), F: Futbol (Soccer/Futbol), G: Gato (Cat), H: (sound) - this letter is mute at the beginning of a word, but it would adopt the sound of the following letter, esta letra es silente pero adopta el sonido de la letra que le sigue, por ejemplo: Hueco – Whole, and it would seem like it starts with an U, Hueco; another example may be: Hogar: means Home, but it sounds hOgar, so be aware when you read a word starting with an H, let´s continue, continuemos:
- I de Iglesia (church), J de Jardín (Garden), K de Kebab (Kebab), L de Limón (Lemon), M de Montaña (Mountain), N de naranja (Orange), Ñ de ñame (Yam), O de Opera, P de pasta, Q de queso (Cheese), R de Risa (Laughter); S de salsa (Sauce), T de Tomate (Tomato), U de Ubber; V de Vinagre (Vinegar), W de waffles, Y de Yate (Yacht), Z de zafiro (Sapphire).
It´s very important to practice each lesson every day - Es muy importante practicar cada lección todos los días, use the words learned so your brain and ear get used to it – A good practice may be to take 10 words daily and use them during all day.
Now let´s do some spelling practice.
Practiquemos deletreando – I help you. Please pronounce the letters in Spanish.

Let´s look at the personal Pronouns:
As most of the languages in the world, we have personal pronouns, como la mayoría de los idiomas del mundo tenemos pronombres personales!
¡Empecemos! Let´s start!
Like in English, Personal pronouns always conjugate a verb, so this is how we should always use them: Personal Pronoun + Verb.
Let´s hear their pronunciation: ¡Escuchemos su pronunciación!
Yo (I), Tú (you), Él (he), Ella (she), Eso/Esto (It), Nosotros (We), Ustedes or Vosotros (You (plural)), Ellos (They).
Repeat it one more time, out loud,
Yo (I), Tú (you), Él (he), Ella (she), Eso/Esto (It), Nosotros (We), Ustedes or Vosotros (You (plural)), Ellos (They).
They always need to be accompanied by a verb,
Find some examples and repeat them out loud:
