A long time ago, in the far lands of Mswezu, a powerful kingdom lay across a river and vast plains. A fearless warrior king, greatly loved by his people, ruled the lands with kindness. This king had an only son, called Ofiri, who was 16 years of age. Ofiri was handsome, well-built, and quite tall. He knew this because the people often commented about his pleasing appearance.
"Ofiri, my dear son, the time has come. I must prepare to relinquish the kingdom to you, my heir, just as our ancestors have always done. Therefore, my only son, soon the crown and kingdom shall pass into your care.
As our custom dictates, before the coronation ceremony marking your kingship, you must journey to the far off land, inhabited by the mysterious, hidden peoples in the kingdom of Msepu. There, buried underneath the Umlunga tree, lies the Uru stone. You must find this sacred stone and bring it to me. The beautiful Uru contains all wisdom regarding how a just and merciful king shall govern his people. It is the key which unlocks all of the ancestral mysteries for the Kingdom of Mswezu.
The king encouraged him, saying, "Do not lose heart, my son; the journey is long and sometimes treacherous, but it is required. For generations, our ancestral rulers, including me, had to retrieve the Uru from its hiding place to unlock the royal birthright—the right to rule the kingdom and its peoples.
