About this ebook

This storybook Open Up The Gates To Jerusalem For The Queen Of Sheba is a delightful story, which recreates the two mystical, Biblical characters, the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon in a very delightful, titillating way and is designed to appeal to young children. The story line flows from the introduction of the main characters to the Biblical historical time that the two meet in Jerusalem. The story continues with easy to read text and self-defining illustrations. When the story ends, the reader will have learned about the trip across the desert in Africa to the City of Jerusalem. The reader would have viewed memorable details of the City of Jerusalem at that particular time in history. In the end of the story, the reader is made to understand that there is the perpetuity of The Ark. The Ark will be forever placed in the land of Sheba’s kingdom and the Hebrew religion has won over a whole country of converts.

Author

Cheryl Freier

Cheryl Freier has lived in the Boston area for over 40 years. For many years, Cheryl taught young children in preschool; it is because of this great teaching experience that she grew to understand the importance of reading and children’s literature for young children. In the development of her illustrations, she has painstakingly tried to recreate images in a creative and appealing style of art for young children. She writes text for her storybooks in an exciting way, while she very deftly follows a Biblical theme or other theme that she knows the children have been familiar with and would like. She is excited over publishing two storybooks; the first is entitled, The Shepherd Boy And The Sheep Alphabet and the second storybook is entitled: Open The Gates In Jerusalem For The Queen Of Sheba. Both books are rich with flowing lines and bright, vivid colors. Both books are easy to read and the words and sentences flow from the beginning to the end of the book. Cheryl feels proud that she is enhancing her reach to the high level of literacy of the Boston area. She continues to seek themes of interest to young children.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to my mother, Rose Landau. To me, she was always the flower, the rose, - always in bloom and always beautiful. Her beauty was exceptional.

She recognized my talent for drawing, when I was a young girl. She took me for art lessons, walking across highways and down narrow streets, which were distinctive of Brooklyn, New York City before we moved to the farm in Howell Township, New Jersey when I was 9 years old; on the farm, I was enriched by the visions of colors’ of life and conversely, a life of colors; this made the transition for me to develop into an artist with my own style and perspectives of art.

I remember when she bought me a desk to sit at so that I should practice drawing. Throughout my life, she was my guiding force for helping me
