…I’m very uplifted…it really brings out the Holy Spirit and is a great way for (both) the new and the very inspired Christian to (find) renewing peace in the Holy Spirit.
Rev. Tim Adcox
Pastor, Children’s Ministry, Southside Church
This is a devotional that will bless all those who read it. We read about the seven days of God’s creation and far beyond that, to discover His plan for us: salvation and power to live a Christian life through the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. It is an amazing connection between the beginning and the present for each one of us, as well as a reminder of God’s overwhelming love and His hope for us to be with Him for eternity.

Dedication
For the parents God gave me, who were not perfect, but exemplified unconditional love, I am thankful. From the beginning of my new life in Christ, I’ve had many good teachers and mentors, from various denominational ministries, and valued friends who have encouraged and inspired me towards fulfilling my purpose in presenting what the Holy Spirit has poured into my heart as I was set free from the old nature’s rule. Special thanks go to my youngest sister, Arthea, my long-time sisters in Christ and new sisters in Christ; Barb, and Diane, among other treasured prayer partners.
Thanks to my family of three sons, and daughters-in-law who have presented me with love, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and challenges that draw me closer to the Lord, affirming my faith in the reality of the God of creation, redemption, and power. Thanks to grandson, David and great-grandson, Josh who help me with electronics issues and keep me on track.
Foreword
When we overcome denominational barriers by loving, learning, and worshiping together, we are ready to cross social-racial barriers. By the Spirit of God we are infused with love through the sacrifice of Jesus, who cleanses us from our sins, and empowers us with self-control to live in the promises of His Kingdom here and now. The world will always attempt to judge the believer. We need to conduct ourselves in such a way that there is no truth in their judgment and leave it in the Lord’s hands.
Crossing the barriers of differences does not mean giving up our unique traditions, but will result in expanding our sphere of influence whereby enriching each other’s faith. God’s love is not demanding and neither should ours be. The gifts are available to all who are willing and receiving them is a choice. Love is a choice and faith is a choice. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and eternal life. All are invited. All are free to receive and disciple into maturity, for service and sharing the Good News. No choice is saying, No,
to our Creator, Redeemer, and empowering of the Holy Spirit. Everyone is welcome.
By grace, eternity is our destiny--don’t miss it.
Acknowledgements
This work is an example of how anyone’s life can be empowered by the Holy Spirit, who brought me to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. His gifts have blessed me with years sufficient to progress along the path toward maturity of faith, equipping me to be a hopeful blessing to others. Therefore, it is the Triune God that I acknowledge and to whom I first dedicate my labor of love, to be shared with the body of Christ, the Church, and all who are seeking to find Jesus, the hope of life eternal.
I pray that this representation of God’s love and truth, along with a token of personal testimony, is inspiring to others. It was written as an introduction to the Holy Spirit and by no means inclusive. I also pray that it will encourage the readers in their desire to continue in discipleship, through more study of the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible is the living Word, breathed into godly men by God’s Spirit, as its writings proclaim to be.
Introduction
Welcome Holy Spirit was compiled for individuals and congregations to find the path for the greater influence of the Holy Spirit gifts with signs, wonders, and miracles, especially for healing, deliverance, and restoration. Medical diagnosis and necessary treatments are still encouraged, along with a follow-up, when prayer has been proclaimed an effective component in the healing process.
A personal relationship with the Spirit of God is available to all who take time to wait upon the Lord. This is the message to everyone who desires the uniqueness and depth of God’s love and insight which the Bible offers. It only takes a bit of time to develop a sensitive ear to the voice of the Spirit. Prayerfully, the Bible scriptures were chosen, the word gifts were boldly written, and prayers expressed with humble expectation. Let your heart be encouraged and ready to learn more about the mysteries of the Holy Spirit. This simple 50 day devotional can introduce the not-yet-believer to the faith journey as well as renew and refresh the maturing believer.
This small book was originally intended for leading up to the day of Pentecost. It can also be abbreviated to 10 day devotions from the day of ascension of Christ, to sit at the right hand of the Father, to Pentecost. Although the traditional church has its seasons, the Spirit acts in His own timing and the discipline can be entered into any time of the year. In the process of writing, each day began in prayer with the request for guidance, page by page. Reading the full devotional and taking time for meditation daily, will provide greater understanding and readiness of heart for receiving what the Lord has planned. It contains the following examples:
Verses from The Amplified Bible (AMP) for the majority along with a few from The Bible in its Original Order, Today’s English, and Life Applications Bible, NIV, as indicated.
2 Timothy 2:15 AMP Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing (rightly handling and skillfully teaching) the Word of Truth.
Comments encourage discussion and questions when used with a devotional partner, perhaps a friend, the family, or small groups. Participants may have their own questions that will challenge all to discover new information both from the heart and spirit within, along with outside resources.
This devotional can be used by a single individual, as well as partners, and small groups. In the former case, be encouraged to journal your thoughts. That way, later, you can encourage a friend to do the devotional and be their partner for discussion.

Word Gift:
Children of God, in order to be sensitive to the voice of the Spirit, I have created you with a certain amount of vulnerability. This is why you also need the influence of the body of believers.
