My Secret Heart - Samishii Suzume
Hall of Friendship Introduction…
You have now entered the foyer of the Hall of Friendship. Friendship is like a Fire that warms the heart and melts the chill that we feel from the world around us from time to time. The warmth of it moves us to do things in both words and deeds to show our appreciation to those who have shown their loyalty and their affection, to us…
Friendship
Epitomize…
You epitomize to me The meaning of a friend,
Thank God that in my hour of need It was you He chose to send,
He could have sent a Rainbow To distract my mournful heart, A beautiful diversion
To remove love’s painful dart,
He could have sent me Sunshine To warm my wounded soul, Allowed its’ healing rays
To repair and make me whole,
He could have sent me Moonlight
To soothe, my shattered hopes and dreams, To free me from a hopeless heart
By cool and gentle beams,
He could have sent me Precious Stones To fill my empty soul,
Diamonds to give me purpose Red Rubies to make me bold,
And he could have sent me Spring time
To wash my heart anew, Instead, He sent me all these things
In a Precious Friend, like you…

Dreams…
You know…
Sweet dreams, Are like cotton candy
That flow,
From within, one’s heart and mind,
They add honey,
To the bland taste of life
When it grows sour from time to time,
They add bright colors To a canvas that can turn
So cold sometimes and blue,
Perhaps that’s why
I feel like a dreamer and an artist When I paint sweet moments of life When I’m alone with you….
…Samishii Suzume…
It’s Been…
It’s a pleasure to know you
And work with you from day to day, It will be a somber moment tho When you have to go away,
It is time, no doubt For us all to be moving on,
And I will surely miss not seeing you But hopefully not too long,
Friendships, Like fine wine,
Should be slipped slowly And enjoyed,
Life should be
Lived and possessed to the max, Like a child with a new delightful toy,
I look forward to the time When I’ll see your face again, Because,
I’ve come to not only cherish your beauty, But your presence, as a friend…
…Samishii Suzume~…
Scar…
Though it cannot mar your beauty Nor your vibrant spirit change,
It remains a symbol Of your courage
And a sign of your pain,
Soft mark
On brown shoulder, Tender
To the touch, One is moved To tenderness When he thinks Of the pain
And of how much,
How much it must have Hurt
During those fledgling years The time of teen age confidence, The time of teen age fears,
I can’t help but feel compassion As I gently touch your scar,
And realize it cannot change your beauty,
Nor the beauty of who you are…
…Samishii Suzume~…
Black Swan….
Like a black swan Your moves flow,
Full of beauty, style and grace And hearing the sound of your voice Always brings a smile to my face,
Soft and seductive Alluring and so calm
There’s a warm beauty about you
Like each new morning’s dawn,
Eyes, a loving deep brown Full of brightness and of cheer, The kind of woman any man Would be honored to hold near,
A sleek and graceful beauty Any heart you could quickly bend,
And I’m so pleased, And I’m so honored,
That I, can call you friend…
…Samishii Suzume~…
Your Friendship…
Your Friendship’s Like a warm wine That once tasted Warms the soul,
It stills one’s Heart Against this world’s Bitterness,
And it’s callous And it’s cold,
One cannot help but wonder, If your friendship is so fine Then to know the joys
Of your embrace, Must be truly
A heady wine…
…Samishii Suzume~…
Last Night…
Last night we shared some intimate words And personal thoughts and dreams, Funny how speaking with you
Leaves one feeling alive and fresh and clean,
We shared words of hope for the future And briefly of heartaches from the past, Seems like days but it’s only been hours Till I get to see again you at last,
Demure is your persona
That pours out to me over the phone, A strong and talented woman Who works well with others
Or equally as well alone,
A consummate professional In word and carriage and deed,
And yet, soft and warm and yielding When there is the time, and when there is the
need,
A lady, yet full of passion
With the right sincere and caring man, An elegance that fire one’s passion With just a caress of your hand,
A voice both warm and intelligent Articulate, yet, arousing within,
A desire on the part of any man
To be the most sincerest and best possible
friend,
And then, should the friendship grow deeper Passing all expectations even above the stars at
night,
To spend time cherishing and appreciating you,
And taking you to ever new and thrillingly
sweet heights…
…Samishii Suzume~…
I Hate…
I hate to see you saddened Your eyes, shadowed by silent cares,
This poem is just to let you know Should you need a friend, I’ll be there,
I may not be suave and sophisticated With wealth and jewels to burn, But what I have, is a heart for you
Full of friendship and deep concern,
Concern about your welfare And about your peace of mind, Yes, I know assuredly
That you will be, just fine,
It’s just that I don’t take friends lightly
As a lark or on a whim,
I tend to care and appreciate And highly value them,
So know that you are valued And your friendship held as dear, And that should you ever need them You have my shoulder, and my ear…
…Samishii Suzume~…
My Joy…
My joy is to see you joyful My joy is to see you smile, To help to ease the burden Lighten it for you, for at least A little while,
My joy is to see you contented, Happy, consoled and pleased, Hear the laughter in your voice
See your hair ruffled by the breeze,
My joy is to at least do something
I pray at least every once and awhile, Something to make your heart sing And your gracious lips to smile…
…Samishii Suzume~…
Dare…
Dare I, Attempt to tell you
In mere words
(And sometimes clumsy deeds), That our warm and simple friendship Has filled a tremendous unmet need?
A need to feel needed,
A need to reach out and give,
A need to feel wanted in some manner This is what makes one want to live,
Dare I attempt to tell you,
Of the great
