Acknowledgements
Iwant to acknowledge my Lord and Savior, and all who dedicate their lives to Him. Without Him in my life I would be nothing. Next, my parents who raised me to have my own voice and direction. My Wife Kariema to whom I owe all else, you are the fire that drives me to do more and be more, so we can have more… time together, peace of mind, and complete freedom in each other. Lastly, my Children, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Scayyam, Allahna, and Uneke, seeing you grow and become more of yourself, and find your own voices and develop into your own leaders is the greatest joy that a Father can live to see. Stay Leaders, stay humble, and stay right. Remember this: Most people try to do things right, leaders are they who do the right things.
To those who have helped me along the way, you know who you are, there are far too many for me to mention by name alone. I do want to acknowledge the ETA Family, the Brothers and Sisters in Richmond, Va., the Elite Staff that have rallied around me in Fielding U., and all of my clients, supporters, anyone who has bought a book, came to a webinar, purchased Coaching from me, or an Assessment, I humbly and greatly appreciate your support, and it means so much to me that you trust me to serve you. I will never fall short of that trust.
To the followers, and supporters on any platform, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Your presence is noted appreciated and your presence pushes me to be the best version of me every day and in every way. To Nicky and Nick and Beast Mode Digital, thank you for helping me to clear my head and put some system and structure behind my vision. You guys are masters at what you do, and I appreciate you. Dr. Eric Thomas, Salute! CJ, Val, Kantis, Karl, thank you. Dr. Lenneal, we are just getting started. Coach K, I thank you for the systems thinking and the RHQ, and structure. Mr. B. you brought me to the stage – I thank you, Junior, my Tag Tech Team thank you for the show of support. Julien, I appreciate you.
I know I said I wouldn’t name anyone, but I’m a High D, sometimes I don’t follow my own rules. I want you to know that Leadership is everything. There is no above and below, right or left when something is wrong or right you can always find the source of affluence or lack therein, and Executive Coaching is the way to Leadership Development.
I became a coach because I wanted to help people, and I still do. Coaching has given me the ability to touch people in ways that speaking has not. There are limitations to how close you can get when you speak to a crowd and how much you can challenge from stage. As a Coach I am able to go where no man has gone before, and that is in the face of some powerful people, and I do it from a place of love and a desire to facilitate change, growth, and advancement.
I believe that everyone is entitled to growth, abundance, and a champion’s mentality. I think that it the responsibility of leadership to reach down from on high and bring people up. Our organizations require resilience and the ability to respond instead of react. Our educational systems need to adopt this coaching structure to facilitate a future focused, goal and action-oriented model of self-awareness enhancement and self-actualization, and I am proud to be a part of this initiative. Lastly our non-profits, small businesses, and entrepreneurs have to know that they are the life-blood of this economic system and if they are not willing to develop themselves and their leaders then all is lost.
Leadership development is truly the key, and I have learned it after years and years of intense research and study in all walks of life. I have come to realize that there are 5 components of sustainable success and they are Communication, Leadership, Empowerment, Attitude and Relationships. This will be the platform from which all products that flow from Mindshare Leadership find their results orientation. I welcome you to join with me, and contact me to find out more about leadership, and how I can be of executive service to you in anyone of the areas mentioned above. I want to thank all of the organizations that have allowed me to serve, and it is my hope that this offering is succinct, plentiful and meaningful.
Leadership is about freedom, it is about choices, and it is about people. Let’s GROW!
Thank you,
Shaan
Foreword
by Dr. Lenneal Henderson
Shaan Rais’s The Phenomenal Leader’s Handbook: Learn 31 Amazing Styles of Leadership in 31 Days and Executive Coaching for Leadership Development is what it purports to be: a clear, concise, cogent and cultivated resource for those souls and minds in or seeking leadership roles.
His clear and dynamic description and explanation of the thirty one styles of leadership may be adopted and practiced individually or in combination to generate leadership results as a more dynamic leadership, clearer values, better strategies and ultimately the transformative changes so profoundly needed in our world, nation and neighborhood.
His work is accessible to leaders, leadership situations and leadership needs in faith, public policy, corporate, entrepreneurial, non-profit and other institutions because it is multi and interdisciplinary and driven by key elements such as VALUES, STRATEGY, SERVICE AND AUTHENTIC AND JUST CHANGE.
The executive coaching element in the book seeks to develop sufficiently self-actualized leaders able to coach others in the act of making leadership outcomes sustainable. There is so much richness for leadership practitioners but, for leadership scholars, the book reflects the analysis and synthesis of immense and diverse literature on leadership traits, situations, service, and other dimensions of leadership.
Ultimately, this book should accompany anyone currently in leadership or seeking to improve their leadership skill and potential. We welcome it as a major new resource in our reservoir of treasures guiding our study and behavior.
