    Foreword

Throughout Human History Oracles have provided us with wise and insightful advice and prophetic predictions about the future, inspired by the Gods.

    Dedication

Out of the past come memories

    of friendships I would renew

    But my hands are obligated

with the things that they must do

Tomorrow or the next day, yes

some day soon I hope to see

    In this life or another,

friends that meant so much to me

This book is dedicated to the memory of my past and future lives and to all of my fellow travelers who shared those lives with me.

    Dr. Mayo’s Mantra

Nothing is what it appears to be, ever.

Don’t take it personally, even if it’s meant to be.

Every challenge brings an opportunity. (a gift).

The secret is to focus on the opportunity…

    Not on the challenge.

    Expect nothing,

and you will never be disappointed.

The only thing between you, and your dreams,

    is you.

Give yourself permission to fail… So you can

    give yourself permission to succeed.

Treat yourself the way you want others

    to treat you.

Learn to say ‘Thank You,’ and mean it.

    Forgive others…

    So you can forgive yourself.

    Introduction

I was talking with the Source a couple of nights ago and I asked what was the next thing on the agenda for me to do. He said that I needed to revisit the Buddha on the mountain before the next challenge could begin. So, I went to see the Buddha on the Mountain in his tiny cave, far up on the side of a steep mountain somewhere in the distant past in what would someday become the country Tibet.

When I arrived, the Buddha was in a deep meditative state sitting in front of his cone shaped fire pit in the middle of the rounded out portion of his cave. The cone was constructed of oval shaped river rocks stacked loosely on top of each other to form a truncated shaped fire cone. The Buddha himself sat in the back of the cave in an alcove hollowed out of the rock that was a couple of feet above the floor of the cave facing the glowing fire pit. I sat down on the floor directly across from him with the fire pit in between us.

Without opening his eyes the Buddha said, Michael, what brings you back to my retreat, here in the Himalayas at this time of year. I told him what the Source had told me. He paused for a moment then handed me three small sticks. These were the sticks that the Buddha creates out of thin air. They burn for approximately twenty minutes each, giving off heat and light but are smokeless and produce no ash or residue. He told me to push them into the fire pit one at a time through the spaces in between the rocks and stare into the flames they produce.

I pushed the first twig into the fireplace and it instantly burst into flames. In the midst of the flames I saw three doors: The door of Prophecy; The door to the Oracle; and the door to the Room of Connections. After the flames died down I asked the Buddha what the meaning of the three doors was. He said that the three doors are the challenge…your challenge.

Before I departed I returned the two remaining sticks to the Buddha for safekeeping. I went home to ponder upon what the challenge might possibly mean.

The next night I returned to continue the process. The Buddha gave me back those same two sticks and I proceeded to push the second twig into the fire pit through the space between the rocks. It too burst into flames instantly and I could see inside the cave of prophecy and inside the Oracle’s cave and into the Room of Connections.

I then proceeded to push the third twig into the fireplace and when I did so there was a brilliant flash of light and I saw myself sitting in the room
