Introduction
The three steps to get rid of bad habits are:
Arriving at an unconflicted decision to change it.
Removing all attention to it
Replacing that bad habit with a good habit
But to build with those three steps we first need a foundation.
Chapter One
Foundation
The foundation we must build first before applying the three steps to get rid of undesirable habits is in identifying that bad habit itself. You cannot fix something if you don’t know it exists.
A lot of the time we think of our mistakes and our bad habits as not all that bad, that they are just trifles. Yet when we see the mistakes and bad habits in others, we way too often think of them as great crimes.
Sometimes finding the cause behind the bad habit can be helpful as it may mentally or emotionally releases you from the cause and effect reaction chain of events that has resulted in the bad habit.
To find that cause and effect process that resulted in a bad habit takes something called right thinking. Wrong thinking is when you just turn thoughts over and over and over in your mind without coming to any
