Jesus Christ The Only Truth - Grace Dola Balogun

    PREFACE

Jesus Christ is the truth; there is no other truth in the history of this universe than the truth that Jesus Christ brought from Heaven to Earth, which is only in Him. The Scripture revealed that Jesus Christ came to this world to testify to the truth:

"You are a King, Then!’ Said, Pilate. Jesus answered, ‘You are right in saying I am a King. In fact, for this reason I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." (John 18:37)

Jesus Christ is the truth, the only truth. The essential part of Jesus’ mission was to testify to the truth and point the people on this Earth to the truth. Christ incarnate gave witness to the Father; to this witness Christ gave, He revealed that truth of His gospel. Unfortunately, many, many ministers and pastors today compromise the truth and the sound doctrine of the Gospel. They promote their own personal agenda at the cost of scriptural faith; they refuse to draw distinctions between the right gospel doctrine and the wrong gospel doctrine, or between the truth and the error.

They have rejected the purpose of Jesus Christ's coming to the world. The truth of God's revelation must be the most important thing that believers must never do without; our Lord said, For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They know with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. (John 17:8)

Pilate asked our Lord a question, Are you a King?

Jesus Christ explains Himself and shows how He is a King; He rules in the minds of people of this Earth with the power of truth. Christ came to witness, and as a witness for God, that God created the world, and He alone is against sin that ruins the life of the people that He created in the world. Jesus Christ came to bear the truth, to reveal the truth, and He came to reveal the truth that has been hidden for many years. Jesus came to the world to confound the wise, the Pharisees and Sadducees of His day, and to display His love to all of humanity.

Christ came to the world to confirm the truth, and speak the truth, preach and teach the truth of the gospel of God. The Spirit of Jesus Christ's kingdom is the Spirit of truth, divine truth; this is the reason why Jesus Christ said: I am the Truth. Jesus Christ rules by the commanding power of the truth. Moreover, Jesus conquers; He has the victory by the convincing evidence of the truth. All the believing Christians that love the truth will hear the voice of Jesus Christ, their Redeemer for greater, better, surer, sweeter truths which cannot be found anywhere than in Jesus Christ by whom grace, and truth manifested to the world.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is the truth. Christ is not just someone that teaches the truth; Christ is the only truth. He is the embodiment of truth – all the believing Christians, have the truth of Jesus Christ which is not found anywhere on Earth.

Jesus Christ came into this world not to seek Himself, but to set up His goal, which is to magnify God the Father. It is Christ’s goal to manifest the name of God to the mind and souls of the people in the world. Therefore, Christ was able to open the truth of the Word of God into the hearts, mind, and spirit of the people in the world.

"Jesus declared. ‘Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is a spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. (John4:21-24)

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ teaches a very important principal and makes several points here. The level of our spiritual power is at which when the true worship connects with God. Believing Christians must come to God in complete sincerity and with the Spirit that is directed by the life and activity of the Holy Spirit’s truth, one in which displays the characteristic of God’s holiness.

    CHAPTER ONE

    Jesus Christ the Only Truth

Before the Beginning of the Universe

Jesus Christ said according to the Scripture: Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,’ (John 14:6). Jesus Christ is always with the Father from the beginning of creation. God the Father in Hebrew language means Elohim it was in plural form, because it means Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - one God. He is the true God - it also means; as the true God, He sums up within Himself the completeness of all that is God and all that is divine.

The first day of His creation activities, He brought in the light, first Jesus Christ is the light of the world. And God the Almighty called it good. All what God created, He called good - for six days He called good; therefore, what God called good no one should call it bad or disagree because God is the all-knowing, all powerful, omnipresence and omniscience. Seven times God states that what He created good. Every part of God's creation completely fulfilled His will and His intended purpose. God created this universe to reflect His glory and as well to be a place where all the people on Earth can be able to share His joy and His love, and His life.

The Scripture revealed: Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created Him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them. Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground, (Genesis 1:26-28). The entire trinity - Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit had a role in creation. The Son Himself is the powerful Word of truth through whom God the Father created all things - Jesus Christ is the eternal Word of God. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:3)

In Jesus Christ all things were created; things in Heaven and all the things on Earth, things that are visible and things that are not visible - all things in Heaven and on Earth were created by Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16, emphasis is mine). Therefore, through Jesus Christ, by Jesus Christ, God the Father Almighty made the universe. The Scripture said: But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe, (Hebrews 1:2). Likewise, the Holy Spirit had an active role in the creation of the universe – as the Spirit of God is hovering - moving over the creations by preserving and preparing all the created being for more creative activity of God - until this moment God, the Holy Spirit continues to be involved in sustaining all the creation of God, including the new believers. The Holy Spirit automatically indwells new believers the moment they give their life to Jesus Christ the Spirit of God will come to their heart and be active in their lives helping them to live a Christian life.

Therefore, when God the Father said, Let us make man in our image, He means in the image of the Trinity, not only physically but spiritually. These accounts are complimentary and help believers to know that both male and female were a special creation of God. Male and female were both created in the image, or in the likeness of God whereby, they were free to respond to God and free to have good fellowship with God, which will uniquely reflect God's love, His glory and His holiness. All human beings possessed a moral likeness to God, man and woman were free to know the truth of God, and to apply the truth of God into their lives. Man and woman were sinless and holy possessing wisdom, a heart of love and the will to do the right thing.

They are to live in a personal harmony and good fellowship with God; they also were obedient and they are to maintain
