Aloha Bruce,

Heavy rain is hammering on the metal roof of the cabin. I’m all about art today. Catching up on projects and life is moving right along. The serenity of the cabin is a welcome change from past events. That’s just how we roll. This is the year of the dragon. My birth sign. I’m looking forward to Chinese New Year. Last time we spoke you weren’t feeling very well. Hope you’re back on track.

The purpose of today’s note is hello. You are in my thoughts, and I love you.

Aloha Bruce,

So good to talk to you today. It amazes me that even though we’re miles apart, we’re always right there in our hearts and minds.

Actually, Grandma had that kind of energy. You were much younger and didn’t know her as I did. I guess we both inherited it.

Did bring a lot of closure on many levels and also brought me to a higher understanding of life’s journey. It also brought me to this little cabin in the forest; the most sacred place where every day the beauty of the earth speaks miracles. Yesterday I watched two baby doves on top of my shed learning to fly. Miles came down the hill with a black bamboo plant and home-grown tomatoes. Also his own torch fuel recipe mix. Haven’t put a match to it yet, but each day I’m braver. Marley is the most loyal dog I’ve ever met. People are afraid, but she’s a love. The Pit in her makes her look mean.

The tree man said ah, is she friendly? I called her and she shook his hand with her paw. He thought she was incredible, and she is.

I’ll keep you posted on life’s ever changing journey. I’m so proud of you. We both have that free spirit gypsy blood, but also incredible hearts. I know that both of us will never change. We’re both strong and take life by storm. I
