The arrival of pirate James Cook and his gang

They were approaching Norfolk Island which was one of the uninhabited islands of the ocean. This island, near Australia, is one of the great paradises of the world: beautiful beaches, preserved vegetation, educated local population. It is a lovely place and perfect for a visit.

Pirate James Cook's ship is heading to the shores of the island. The restless crew is happy with the news of the discovery of the land. They have not seen any pieces of land in weeks. In one of the ship's rooms, the seer's gang is anxious.

Seer

Looks like we are docking. How do you feel, dear friends?

Beatriz

My skin is dry. I have been needing a decent bath for weeks. This seawater is terrible. I need fresh water to regain the shine and color of my skin.

Renato

That is great news. I was not having a regular sleep. I seem to be extremely nervous about my nerves. Being on earth is a blessing that must be enjoyed.

Mountain spirit

I need to do my daily walks. I do not seem to have been walking in ages. For someone who is old like me, that is very damaging.

Seer

That is wonderful. I am pretty anxious too. Maybe there is a new adventure coming? The time travel we have done so far should have a purpose.

Truth. We did not miss anything in trying.

There's a minute's silence and the ship swings just before docking. Joy is general on the boat. Gradually, the crew go down and gain access to the island.

The wind is normal, a big sun appears, and the breeze comforts them all. The first task is to go after firewood to light the fire as the night was approaching. Dominic, one of the experienced pirates, accompanies the other men in this work. Meanwhile, the women stand by the waterfront with the captain playing the role of guard.

The group of men walk together in the forest. It was a moment of expectation, action, and mystery because that island was a great mystery for everyone. The mysteries in books are the things that most instigate me to be a good reader. It is like we are living the exact moment of every action and emotion. Well, our group of men walk for a while in the dense forest until they reach a place where they have several rotten trees. So, they use the axe to remove the firewood.

It is at this very moment that a strange little man appears before them.
