    Making Plans

Julie and I have decided our first trip will be heading back to Nestar. It will be fun to see the children and see how things are going there. We have kept in touch with everyone by way of our Number Two people.

It’s been hard to write in my journal. All that has been done is visiting with family here on Trevinia. With leaving soon, the plans have been made when there is spare time.

    Everything is set.

The plan is to stay on Nestar for a month, and then meet up with everyone that is going. A and B are our robots. They will stay here at our home until we need the spaceship. They go everywhere with us on our explorations.

Remember, this journal is history. It tells about all of our journeys but not in any specific order.

Now to explain the O:XBar. This allows me to do many things. It is like a watch, and under the cover are all of the buttons I can push to do many things. They are in the shape of an X, with colored lights. They are controlled also by each person that has one by eye identification. There was trouble with that once and this was done so there wouldn’t be any more accidents. Freezing people is the most fun when trying to work with the headstrong. Zap! We can go back in time and change into animals. There are things I can show you later as they have happened. There are always new improvements being made.

Retirement has been great, even though I still have my mission as a messenger. I left a lot of friends behind on Anchoria, but there are new ones to share. I don’t know who the other messengers are. I’m not in charge of that department. I guess we chosen ones are to help bring peace everywhere. This journal was hidden, and since you are reading it, you are a new messenger.

Colby went to Ingla to explore the pyramid there. He has met Zerina. She had been captured on Trevina and had worked there growing vegetables. We will meet them later on Nestar.

So with the push of a button, we all meet at Nestar. Yes, I have my staff that I can use to summon help when needed. These are the people that I met on Anchoria. Well, maybe I should use the word gods; they help the true God. I’m not sure who that will be now that Tuwanari has a new life. He gave me the staff.

Life will always be a mystery. Enjoy it while you can.

When we arrive, others are just gone as we push the right button and life here continues.

Bright Star is walking around and thinking he is all that. He is! This is Mari’s child.

This is the winter village, and everyone has learned how to garden. Even in the desert, things do well. You are new to my writings. You will find I love to explain everything. I would think it will take a special kind of person to enjoy my stories. LOL!

I see many horses in the village and many foals with their mothers. There are many new babies, also. Jeff (Anglo) and Cindy (Zenda) had a baby boy while we were on Anchoria. They named him after me. Here, I am Running Wolf (Alan), and he is Little Wolf (Alan Jr.). I was Axel until I could change into a wolf.

It is good to see Amaya when we reach his teepee. I’m looking forward to a fishing trip with him. The other me has had the pleasure of his company many times. I am always aware of their adventures. This one is special.

It is a beautiful day, and they were up before dawn and planned a fishing trip the night before. The women knew we were going and had told us not to wake them when we left.

Okay. Here is where I will start talking like Number Two is just me; that way, no confusion. To us, that is how it works.

We were on our way up the mountain. Since it is winter, there is still snow in the higher elevations. In the desert, it is in the seventies in the day but it might be freezing at night. Plenty of supplies were brought along. Our fishing gear is a carved tree limb and a flint rock chipped for spearfishing and bound by a leather strap.

We will be fishing for rainbow trout. Starting up the mountain to the left of the village is easy going. Higher up is rockier. We make it through the pass to the river. Amaya spears the first trout.

It has been a long time since I have tasted fish. I look at the sun. It is straight up—time to eat. There was one cooked for each of us for lunch. The rest are kept in pouches that are woven cattail leaves to bring home. On Trevinia we eat no meat.

    Then it happens!

I guess the smell of the fish could not be resisted. A large grizzly came running toward us. This is where the O:XBar comes in handy. Here it is worn as a necklace. Mine is a leather neckband with a silver amulet. I have a large turquoise stone on the front and coral beads hanging from it. Anyway, it flips open, and I freeze Amaya and the bear. I just transport the bear to the other side of the river. Amaya has no clue what happened—that is erased from his memory. The bear, when awakened, stands on his hind legs looking around. Now you know how it works.

Heading back to the village with a good catch, we sing some of the songs that the people have made up.

Amaya sings a chant, Thank you, rainbow fish. Wa-do, as-da-nv-nv atsida, ha ha ah.

Sometimes we go with a group in the creeks, and the people have made channels where they chase the fish into. They use rock, sticks, or whatever else they find to build a weir. Then the fun starts to chase the fish into the traps. The fish can be caught by hand then. Most of the braves use spears when fishing.

I bring my fish to Jenda. Now that all of the children have grown and left, we have plenty of room. It’s kind of lonely. We share a lot of meals with others. It is always fun here with the powwows they have. We enjoy the celebration, the singing, and the dancing. I like the sound of Anglo playing his flute.

I have a cave also where I keep a larger O:XBar hidden. It is used in case something big would arise and transporting a crew is needed. We go back and forth from Trevinia that way.

    Hebe’s Promise: 2067

I have to get on to the good part. You remember Hebe on the planet Anchoria? She is the goddess of youth and daughter of Zeus and Hera. She had asked us if we would like to have eternal youth. I didn’t exactly know at that time. Now that we have had time to think about it, I think that would be something special. I could carry on with my mission of peace forever.

With my staff given to me by Tuwanari, I am able to summon anyone I need from Anchoria. I just have to imagine them and think real hard. Hebe appeared immediately. We had a good talk about what I would want to use this gift for. She thought it was a great idea. All of us old ones on our mission would be granted this. If we misuse it in any way, it would be undone. It would happen immediately. My promise is to just follow my heart and try to help others.

You remember Kyle the Minotaur that had passed away on Earth? Hebe thought he was given an injustice by dying so young. She brought him back to Anchoria. These gods have many powers that we don’t know about. She thinks he would be able to help us on our voyages around different universes. He is very knowledgeable about who might help us. How exciting.

So, you see, many years have passed. Bright Star has grown, and only I know he is a messenger on his planet on Nestar. He will keep his own journal someday to be passed on to someone. I will talk about him later.

Julie and I have our youth again. When we met Hebe, Cole and Taylor were given the same option. They accepted, also. Their home was sold a long time ago in Cairo; they are anxious to get started on our mission. Everyone with us had the same option.

Right now we are getting the crew together for our mission. It seems like we keep adding people—lots of good minds working together. As usual, there are many stories to tell.

There is no need for a spaceship here. If there is a need for one, it just takes moments to have one made available. With improvements to the O:XBar, we just set our coordinates and we are sent to our destination. We had planned a trip to the Bermuda Triangle. This has always been of interest to me.

Everyone sets their O:XBar for Bermuda. That’s where we meet up with Evan. His name is Evan Kranson. He has written a book on the subject of the Devil’s Triangle—another name for the Bermuda Triangle. That sounds more creepy and fun to check out.

A and B have gone through a small transformation; they still act the same. They are pretty good-looking specimens and have been updated with lots of information. They also babble more. They are like family, so we want them to be able to do what we do. Everything is waterproofed, and they can swim.

The Bahamas are included in the Triangle. Many stories have been written. Our mission is to search for the truth. Ships and aircraft have gone missing, along with the people.

There are many things that we are going to investigate. That is why we are all taking diving lessons. I have done some diving on Trevinia, but the others have had no experience in the ocean. Evan has been working with us for a few weeks now. He is happy with our progress and has told us to prepare to leave in the morning. Everyone is making sure there are plenty of supplies.

Now we are meeting the rest of the crew. Our captain is Jay Nevens. There is a cook, Marshall Edwards, about forty years old, just out of the navy. He was a cook. Then our navigator is Don Chevy—an older guy in his fifties. There are two women along. Both of them are fairly young, probably in their thirties. They are running around, stashing everyone’s gear in rooms. They are probably going to help keep us new people in line. They are Krystal Langley, a blond; and Nadia Nevens, a dark-haired woman; she is Jay’s wife. Jay and Nadia look like they are of Native American heritage.

All of us ended up being in our mid-thirties. She asked about this mission and thought this would be a good age for stamina. That’s neat when we look in the mirror. Julie loves it. Since all of us are from Trevinia, we look pretty good for being in our fifties. (Cough!)

I have a flashback often of my parents and siblings. It is a good memory. None of us live forever. I guess we will. Everyone that was on the trip to Anchoria was given this choice.

Life on Trevinia and everywhere we live is always changing. Memories are a treasure. I think you always remember your pets, also. Dakota, Maggie, and Midnight are always in my thoughts.

So, you see, all of my friends are immortal now. We will be able to see history being made wherever we go. It will be sad to see our friends on different planets pass away.

On Nestar, they will go to the happy hunting ground. I will talk later about all of our adventures, though. They were all good times.

So we set sail on our voyage. It is a schooner large enough for everyone to be comfortable. It has the name The Solar Journey. Evan purchased the schooner from
