Dedication
To my children, Cierra, CJ, and Brandon. You stood next to me through it all and loved me unconditionally, flaws and all, and for that, I say thank you! I love you all to the heavens and back! Thank you, Cierra, for being a second momma bear to the boys and a listening ear to me. CJ and Brandon, thank you for every hug, every smile, and every encouraging word; they truly did brighten up my days. I pray that as you travel this journey, God will place your God-fearing spouse beside you. I pray you love them as God has loved you and has called you to love them. I pray they will love you, your children, your family and friends, as God has loved them and called them to love you. Always follow God, and He will direct your path according to His will for your lives! Love you, Combs kids!
To my future husband, thank you for being a part of my inspiration, my spirit, my soul, and my heart. Thank you for praying for me, us, and our children. My prayer is that once we meet (if we haven’t already), our bond will be stronger than buckypaper. That are spirits will be entwined like the colors on a peppermint. May our love prosper beyond eternity. Forever yours, I will wait for you, my God-ordained spouse.
Foreword
Six degrees of separation does not apply. The distance between the author and I is hardly detectible. She’s my cousin and a close friend; however, the motivation is not the relation but rather the relevance of this great work. I believe this is a revolutionary life approach to faith-based relationships.
We all make mistakes, and we make them in all different categories of life, including relationships. Most people fall in love, but very few people prepare ahead of time for their life together with the person they fall for, so when the feelings fall off, the foundation falls through.
If you want to be successful at anything in life, you must commit to it and prepare for it. The same is true with relationships. If you want a successful marriage with a God-fearing spouse, you must prepare for it. Do you want to know how to prepare for that man or woman of your dreams?
This book will help you do just that. Evangelist Combs draws on her life experience, her success and struggles, to show us how a commitment to God and prayer can make all the difference in the world. What if I told you that your God-fearing spouse was just a prayer away? Are you interested?
When you apply the principles in this book, you won’t have to rush, you won’t have to settle for anything less than God’s best, a match made in heaven. Get ready to read, get ready to pray, and get ready to say I do
to a God-fearing spouse, who’s been praying just like you.

Preface
God placed this book, this vision in my spirit in 2016. God ordered the steps and the people who needed to be involved to bring this book to life. All God needed me to do was write and follow his lead. And then God answered: ‘Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time’
(Habakkuk 2:2, MSG). Therefore, I must acknowledge the name of my Father, Jesus Christ, above all names first because, He blessed me with such amazing gifts, talents, trials, tribulations, situations, heartbreak, and love in order to get this book into fruition.
I married my high school sweetheart, and I truly didn’t understand what marriage was all about, but I wanted to be married. After years of being in a worldly marriage, God changed my surroundings to help me get a better perspective on marriage. Marriage wasn’t about holding a new title or a certificate with just anyone. It was about connecting to that person God had ordained for me from the beginning of time. Being equally yoked with my spouse, working together, serving together, praising together, and praying together is what it was all about for me.
God took me through a divorce for me to learn how to heal and revive from situations that I got myself into. God allowed me to meet three male acquaintances along this journey to help me understand what I wanted in a husband and what I did not want in my soulmate. Sometimes God will put people around you to help you understand why you should not be spiritually entwined with someone who hasn’t been ordained to be in your life. God has loved me beyond measure and has surrounded me with such amazing people of God to help me understand my importance of being a wife to the person He has called me to be a wife too. Therefore, God has called me to write this book because, of my own life experiences of heartbreak, frustration, love, elevation, and growth spiritually and mentally and because, of the connection I have with Him.
Writing this book had its challenges, and the biggest challenge was me. I had to learn submission in God’s way, how to be silent in God’s way, how to press forward in God’s way, and I had to learn how to work and not procrastinate along this journey, in God’s way. God reminded me of all the gifts and talents that He had bestowed upon me, and it was time for me to work and speak life into myself. It
