Many study manuals are available for students studying at colleges and universities. Many of these are tedious to read, may contain information not directly appropriate, utilize difficult to read print, and have other areas which may or may not be user-friendly. Noting that many college students, especially Freshman, may have trouble organizing time and developing good study habits resulting in poorer achievement and even dropping out of college, it was the purpose of the author to develop a fairly easy-to-read, straightforward, helpful study guide which could be perused and utilized in a minimal length of time. It should be helpful for students in high school as well as those who are at college of u niversity.
This fifth revised edition manual may not have occurred without the valuable input received from university students who were being taught at the University of West Alabama during the 1999 fall semester. Their requested but voluntary constructive criticism and very positive comments gave further initiative to refine the first edition manual to eventually become this fifth edition manual in its present form. Therefore, I especially thank the following Freshman to Senior status students for their editing suggestions and comments:
Melanie Bake Charita Hibbler Erin Signorotti
Brook Ballard Kimberly Hibbler Angela Simpson
D. Saige Beaty James Jenkins Kimberly Smith
Dianna Bethea Lavone
