We dedicate these series of books to the following: The many believers who refuse to forsake what God has done for them through his beloved son Jesus Christ.

To those who have made a conscience decision that regardless of what the outcome maybe, we will not be a shame of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To those whom have died for the high call of righteousness which is Jesus Christ.

This book is also dedicated to the many of us who do not see ourselves as God sees us.

PREFACE:

Some story lines and concepts are inspired by authors (son and mother) Myles Gilbert and Shanelle Gilbert (the writer of Love that Moves Mountains and The Wilderness Season).

Our hopes are that you enjoy these stories of excitement, suspense, righteousness and triumph.

The Adventures of P.O.E.T. tells of one hero that uses the righteousness of God and poetry to fight the principalities of the air. Robert Terry goes to the aid of those who are being tormented by wickedness. Terry transforms into Righteous Fellow (the P.O.E.T.) while fighting the spiritual wickedness in high places. He uses the gift of poetry coupled with the power of the Holy Spirit to achieve the missions set before him. Robert Terry realizes it is not by his power, nor is it by his might; it is by the power of God.

God is the source of everything.

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 8:6

When it is all said, and done, the real Hero is Jesus Christ.

INTRODUCTION:

It all began 5 years ago when Robert Terry and his search partner Sam White had been given a lead on hidden treasures found in The Africa Burial Grounds located in Manhattan New York, however; before he could obtain the relics, he had to make a trip to the country of Nigeria. Robert Terry had developed a passion for historical African works so going this extra mile did not deter him at all. Once they arrived in Nigeria, Robert and Sam met up with his contact person of Abuja Nigeria (Capital of Nigeria).

His name was Maglaque Jafari. Jafari shared with Terry and White the mission they must accomplish before they would be given the precious literature relics. Robert and Sam were not told they would have to perform certain task to receive the relics; however, they agreed to the mission set before them. Robert and Sam had to first travel to the coordinates Jafari provided to them. Jafari provided three of the locals to assist in their journey. They traveled to the coordinates of Abuja Nigeria 16. Once they reached the destination in Abuja, they realized their GPS coordinates guided them into the deep parts of Abuja’s desert region. This region was called Abu-Ni-16 short for Abuja Nigeria 16. The weather was very humid. The group consumed many bottles of water to stay hydrated. Robert and Sam had become very exhausted from the hike. The locals were not phased. In fact, they wanted to continue with the search. Robert insisted on stopping. They setup their tents and rested for the night. It was very cold during the night. Later, while sleeping, Robert had a dream of saving many lives from an entity he could not see clearly in his dream. It was around twelve mid night, Robert sensed the presence of peace and strength standing over him. Robert woke up and looked around. There was nothing there. Robert could not sleep. There was a tune with lyrics to a poem flowing through his mind. He grabbed a pencil and paper and jotted down the lyrics. Here are the words he received….

There is a lot of Chaos going on in the world today.

Turn the lights back on!

Somebody forgot to P.R.A.Y.

This is real!

No racial divide

Where is your Pride Proud- Respectful – Integrity of _ Dignity Eventually

Robert did not understand what it all meant. He eventually fell back to sleep.

The next morning when Robert and Sam woke up, they discovered the three locals had left. Robert and Sam did not understand why they departed, nevertheless they continued. Robert shared his dream and the message he received with Sam. Sam told him maybe God was getting him prepared for something. Robert gestured with an unbelieving respond. Although Robert knew the message came in the form of a poem, he did not sense the signification of it.

Detective Robert Terry. Robert is also a Poet. Besides having a law degree. He also has a PHD (Doctor of Philosophy) in literature). In the past Robert Terry had discovered many hidden writings in different countries. Some of his findings were placed in different libraries. Robert Terry was very proud of this achievement. Robert is also a highly decorated US Army Veteran. He fought in Desert Storm War. Robert was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis after ending his tour of duty. He would often say I may have it, but it don’t have me.

The two men began their escapade once more. They spent hours digging and searching for the item Maglaque Jafari wanted them to find. Right before retiring for the day, all the sudden Sam and Robert stumbled upon a large box deep in the ground. They pulled the large object from the ground. After removing some of the dirt they discovered the box was solid gold. Wow, Robert gestured. When they finally returned to Maglaque Jafari, he congratulated them on finding the artifact. He told them by them finding and locating this treasure, they were granted the opportunity of obtaining the literature relics, however; they had to transport the gold box with them back to the United States. Robert began to become suspicious. He thought to himself, I don’t trust this man. What is he up to? Jafari explained that the relics of literature had been transported to Manhattan New York. Maglaque informed Robert Terry, the gold box he found in the ground was an ancient relic. The relic would be placed near the historical African Burial Ground National Momentum located in Manhattan New York. Maglaque also informed the men they would be paid for their troubles. After hearing this, Robert became more suspicious; however, Robert and Sam proceeded with caution.

After getting the new-found treasure through customs with their duty-free permit, Robert Terry and Sam White boarded the plane and returned to the United States. It was easy for Terry to get the package through customs. He used his law enforcement official business permit. Maglaque Jafari told them once they arrived in Manhattan New York, they must go to the African Burial Ground National Monument. The contact person would be Ninolohan Jafri (Maglaque’s brother). When Terry and Sam met up with Ninolohan Jafri, Ninolohan informed them that what they were seeking was concealed in the gold box. Terry did not understand. He asked why did Maglaque Jafri deceive them by not telling them the literature relics were inside of the gold box? Why was so much dishonesty and manipulation used to transport the relics? Ninolohan Jafri replied, We wanted to make sure you were the one. The one for what?, Terry demanded. Ninolohan did not respond. He walked away. Robert Terry and Sam White left the facility with the gold incased box.

Robert and Sam both agreed Robert would keep the gold incased box and conduct research on it. Detective Robert Terry returned to work the following week. The detective had so many unsolved cases at work. He would often think, To close some of these cases, it would require some divine intervention. When Terry returned home in Mallei Tennessee, he purchased a glass stand and placed the gold box on it.

Besides the possible literature relics inside of the box, Terry had no idea what was inside the casing. His excitement derived from the fact of finding something he considered to be of excellent value. He continued to ponder on the transactions that took place during his trip. A few weeks have passed, after Detective Robert Terry closed most of his backed-up cases, he decided to go on vacation for a couple of weeks. He figured he would use his time off to thoroughly examine the newly found treasure.

One day after returning home from a morning walk, Robert decided to start his examination. Robert was very cautious while handling the relic. During his observation, he noticed two small latchets on the side of the case. There was a very small inscription on the side that required the aid of a magnifying glass to see. It was written in West African Language. Robert used his language translator to understand the writing. In Yoruba, it read...

Ni idi eyi iwọ yoo wa ilana gbogbo fun aye. Yan lati jẹ pe ododo ti Kristi.

Tan-an o ooro iwọ yoo awari, kini o wa nibi ni ideri yii. Ipe nla yoo wa lori aye rẹ. O jẹ oluabo ni orukọ Jesu Kristi. O jẹ Akewi

When translated it reads - "In this case you will find the total instructions for life. Choose to be that Righteousness of Christ. Turn clockwise you will discover, what lies here in this cover. There will be a great call on your life. You are a protector in Jesus Christ’s name. You are a Poet! SELAH!"

Robert did not understand what all of it meant, but his curiosity grew bigger. He turned the latchet clock wise. All the sudden the case slowly began to open by its self. Robert Terry jumped back. He looked with amazement as the case radiated dazzling light. Terry was in a trance in retrospect of what was happening. When the amazement ceased, Terry walked over to where the case laid and looked inside. There he discovered something so breath taking he gasped for air.

Inside of the casing was a very well-kept book. Terry was amazed by the covering of the book. The book was covered with rubies and laced with gold. When Terry removed the book he also discovered two more items. Another book titled The Simplicity of God’s Word, and a black leather jacket. Inside of the jacket was stitching’s that depicted the whole armor of God.
