King Joash - Katheryn Maddox Haddad

    1 ~ Baby Prince

"O ur new king is gone again," the high priest said to his wife.

My brother has been king only a year. He needs to be here in Jeru-salem, his wife, Princess Jeho-sheba said.

He went off to war, the high priest said.

He needs to be taking care of his own kingdom. Besides, he has a young family at home, his wife said.

She walked back through the temple area where her home was, then out a back gate to the palace next door.

When she got to the nursery, she looked around. Where is little Joash? she asked his nurse.

He is sleeping, Princess Jeho-sheba. All 1-year-old children sleep a lot. But he may be waking up about now.

Princess Jeho-sheba stepped into the sleeping room for the little prince. She watched him breathe as he dreamed baby dreams. She sat by his
