    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

    Introduction

    ––––––––

There is in your inner world a space free of all thought. It takes up a place in the consciousness, away from the mental noise and from any other distraction that comes from the material world.

It’s devoid of all the influence provided by the perceptive senses, in a way that in there it only exists silence and a calm which pulls you into finding you with yourself, to listen to the calm, and to enter in an inner peace that makes you forget the chaos or any other crisis of your confusing life.

In such situation, you notice a completely new scenario, free from all the outer influence, where you find yourself alone with yourself in a nameless world, from which you can observe an incessant cluster of perennial images that dissolve through your consciousness in a matter of seconds, wasting your energy in an infinite train of dim thoughts.

You start attending a miracle that was kept hidden in you, but that you do not discover until that moment: the surprise of finding yourself with yourself confirming, at the same time, that you are different from who you thought you were.

Once this place is discovered, you wonder about all that you think you are. Your interest to achieve that stored wisdom inside you for so many years, is activated; and from there on it increases the desire of being in constant touch with that anonymous universe where everything is possible, where you talk to yourself and you get all that truth that has been hidden through the years, and that sometimes you were in needed of to make sense of the reality of life.

Then you feel the power of your mind, when you fix your attention in a thought that suddenly comes up taking up all that empty space in which there is only you, waiting for a shapeless calm, feeling an inner peace that is born out of the void, when nothing else can take you away from that inner spot where everything originates.

In that moment, you reach the control of everything that passes through your endless consciousness, finding a heritage of contents about yourself that you have ignored all your life, in which there are all the keys to know what makes the world go round; what makes you act always in the same manner; and why we remain asleep, even when we are awake.

You get in touch with a wisdom that leads you to knowing your «true purpose», which makes you become aware of what you really are, deep down inside you.

It’s like finding an infinite source of understanding through which you comprehend everything that happens: that which comes up from your conscious mind and all that you see outside, in your ordinary world of outer things.

    1. What makes the world go round

    ––––––––

I’ve always wondered what makes humans do what they do, both when they act too much or when they don’t produce anything.

In any case, I'm sure that there is always a motive to perform an action, or to stop doing it. One always has to be led by a cause: by one’s own energy, which emanates from within; by one’s own thoughts; by a specific motivation that leads us to act in a certain direction and to end up doing what we intend to do...

I guess the reasons for each of us to perform an action will be very subjective and personal, and above all, different from one another. It is possible that two people who end up doing the same thing have different motives. If we asked each of them about it, we will surely get different answers about the reasons which have moved them to do it, even though the latter might be the same in both cases.

All in all, there is certainly inside each of us a force that pushes us into performing every action we take into the outer world, in the world that surrounds us. That energy, which is personal and different in each of us, is born within us and it comes from a thought we have had at a certain moment and that pushes you to perform a specific action.

Therefore, it is the thought that appears in our consciousness that makes the world go round, what makes people act in one direction or another; or stop doing it altogether.

These thoughts, which arise to our consciousness, are the engine of our actions. It’s what actually makes the world go round. Depending on the quality of what we think, it will be the quality of our actions in the outer world, and according to those actions we perform, so will later be our own destiny.

What moves you to do something, hence, is your own thought, as long as you pay attention to it and you let yourself be guided to the place it wants to take you. In the end, you come to execute a specific action that has to do with the content of that idea, which appears previously; and the same that happens to you, happens to the whole world.

Thoughts, really, encompass everything. They are the language of the mind, what makes the world go round; they are the ones that direct our actions and the ones that limit them as well. They are the instruments we use to evaluate all that which happens outside us and also within our own selves. They are our guides, the vehicle by which our mind facilitates the information that’s in our memory.

Therein lies the importance of each thought that comes up in our mind. It may lead us one way or the other depending on the reason it has, by its own content. In the end, we wind up performing an activity because we have had some thoughts related to that activity, and we have stopped doing something else instead by the absence of contents related to the latter, and therefore, by the absence of thought that have to do with that performance.

Thoughts, thus, lead us, control us, if we give them that power. They make us keep the attention in a concrete place and not in another, they make us stray from a specific topic to give priority to something else, depending on the thoughts that are taking place at that moment.

They make us modify much of the approaches we have about certain things, coming up with ideas in several directions at once, in a way that we can think the opposite at the same time.

They are the ones that control us and the ones that modify the way we see our reality at every moment. They are the ones that make us have contradictions, that makes us act in a way or in another, that makes us react in an unexpected way...

They are the ones that make our life have a specific orientation, that make us follow a concrete path but, at the same time, that make us have the possibility to change tracks to turn around and follow a very different way from the one we have previously gone down; because at that time another path is more convenient or simply because we can foresee that we won’t have the expected results if we continue that way.

Actually, all of that is determined by thoughts that constantly come up in our mind and are the ones that put together our way of seeing things, the ones that create the reality in our inner selves.

We might have periods in which pretty much the same thoughts repeat themselves; and other moments in which they might be more innovative. All this will be according to the experiences we are living on each occasion.

What makes the world go round, therefore, comes from our own mind, using the contents that are in our memory. Once we are aware of it, we perform an action which sometimes can be unconscious, because it is already installed inside a habit or a group of habits that we have programmed throughout time, based on the repetition of one behavior after another, in the same way, in the same direction. In other moments, it can be about conscious acts, resulting from a previous consciousness about that content which has appeared in our mind and that we have observed before making the decision of taking it into practice, of turning it into a behavior.

Everything that makes the world go round, thus appears first in our consciousness, we will always have the opportunity to stop and watch; to decide about the best possible option for us depending on the situation we are in, as long as we get used to acting in a conscious way.

If the manner in which we proceed is unconscious, we barely notice its content and we limit ourselves to execute the behavior in an automatic way, without being aware of the consequences it may have for us in the near future.

What makes the world go round is what you think at every moment, what leads you to an action with which you can either modify the reality you live in, or keep it the same way if your actions are always the same and they lead you to do always the same things, in the same context and in the same manner.

What makes the world go round is born of you, is what leads you to do something, or to stop doing it. You may be free to follow it or not, to keep doing that which you are not satisfied with or to leave it. You can make use, at any moment that you think convenient, of your freedom, of your will to choose what you think is the best choice, even at the risk of making a mistake, of proving with time that that was not the most convenient path.

It all starts with a thought that jumps to your consciousness and that captures you in a way that you keep all your attention in it. In that instant, nothing else exists, no other content besides that thought you are attending to and that may be inviting you to act.

It is up to you, in the end, to let it pass just like that or to follow its steps performing the action related to such content. You will be able to make the decision freely if you keep yourself aware at all times and you know how to observe that thought from a distance, which will allow you to have an objective vision of what you are observing at that moment.

All that makes the world go round rests in ourselves, since it comes from within us, it is based on all the information we possess, which we keep in our memory and that comes from our experiences of the past, of the contents we have been acquiring over
