How did I end up here? It is not just about what you have been doing; it’s how you do it that matters. And when it comes to a cure for racism that is definitely true.
Here you are invited to help perfect this recipe starter
in a cure for racism. In baking sourdough bread, starter, called levain filled with natural yeasts and bacteria, is essential. However this is a recipe for systemic transformation via removal of its critical ingredient and transforming its only means of delivery.
Drawing on the wisdom of my cultural legacy I am developing the SoulFood model or framework. This work is the basis of Cultural Fusion Art as Philosophy [CFAaP], an art series and foundation of a Renaissance-like social innovation movement. Before we get into that let's put this into relevant context and rewind a bit…
I could not believe this person I will call Person A had the nerve to cry when I demanded a more logical explanation than racism because it very much felt like it to me. I felt my whole internal system disrupted by a mix of hurt, disappointment, and rage. I took a risk, and it felt like a bad one. Briefly, I felt like I had failed, but then I remembered that the transformation point would reveal itself if I could find the stay the course to get the lesson.
But before that happened, I trusted this person and went all-in on what we agreed to do. And ask anyone who knows me well, that degree of trust in someone was a rare occurrence. But being on stage felt so much more comfortable with a friend at my side.
After the second or third time of presenting together, my then friend, Person A, and I walked off the stage and headed to the back of the room for an immediate debrief and celebration that we had done it. We were making the vision real, and things were lining up.
The video/audio person, Person B, approached beaming. They (Person B) loved what we were saying, thought it was so valuable, and wanted to support us. Person B loved our tagline and logo, our message, and felt inspired. B offered to give us a trailer and
