About this ebook

This writing is a series of inspirational poems.  My intention for writing and publishing this book is to bring light into darkness and to uplift our spirits to a joy beyond belief.  That joy is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is never too late to be free and it is my hope that my poems that were inspired by God help you find that relationship!

    About the Author

A wise person once said, Freedom isn't Free. This inspired me to serve our country. Upon graduation from High School, I enlisted in the United States Air Force. Because of my life experiences, my intention was to ensure freedom for ALL people both at home and abroad.

After completing a rigorous Basic Training, I went to a diner off base, to celebrate and have something other than Chow Hall food, not that it was bad. While waiting to be served, I noticed everyone staring at me in a less than friendly manner. When a waitress finally came to where I was seated, she yelled, you have to find someplace else to eat! I was so shocked and hurt. I am from Pennsylvania and at only 18-years-old had never experienced open racism let alone hatred. I quickly learned it's ok for me to die FOR you, I just can't dine WITH you. Now, I'm in the highest service, the Service of our Lord where all are accepted and loved equally.

During the past 25 years, I've served in many roles from editor of a Christian Newspaper, director and teacher of a before after school program, Pastoral Assistant, and member of Community Service Boards. The cover shows me receiving the Christian Woman of the Year Award while the back cover shows me being sworn-in to the Military. Over the years, I have been blessed to receive many awards and certificates. My most recent accomplishment was becoming officially ordained on August 22, 2019.

    Acknowledgements

This experience has been both internally challenging and at the same time, extremely rewarding. I want to thank my family and friends for helping me accomplish my goal, which is to encourage all to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The world is a better place thanks to people who want to develop and lead others. What makes it even better are the people that share the gift of their time and knowledge to mentor others. I am eternally grateful to Dr. William E. Henry Sr. for sharing his expertise as a published author.

In order to create, I must be motivated. Some of my poems were inspired by sermons. Thank you, Pastor Robert L, Pope. Your weekly sermons and Bible Study Ciasses have increased my knowledge and deepened
