About this ebook
Learn and grow in a healthy positive way while reading General Conference Talks, Questions, and Various Answers.
Here is a book where John expressed and articulated a reply to probing questions, which took studying, pondering, wondering, and time. This included writing an answer, which is good especially when dealing with spiritual gospel principles. The questions were from a correspondence course, from the Institute of Religion, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The questions were written by gospel centered people. The questions are for you to ponder also.
Obtaining answers to the questions took time. The author's answers are one possibility for healthy, good, spiritual (i.e., permanent) or temporal (i.e., temporary – meaning earth life) answers. Since every person is unique in their own beautiful right, they may answer a smidgen different, or in their own unique way. It's fascinating to learn from answering a question about a gospel centered principle. It is also spiritually rewarding, bringing healthy growth, and sound understanding.
Obtaining real useable answers is the goal. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a practical real entity. Simply said, Jesus the MESSIAH'S gospel is there to help people in their daily lives. This is to live so that happiness, joy, internal peace, and positive optimism results. Where there is vision the people prosper. (See Proverbs 29:18.) Here is a book where you can learn, grow, find insight to gospel of Jesus Christ principles, gain understanding, and enhance wisdom.
Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the
people perish: but he that keepeth
the law, happy is he.

About the Author
Preface
Formulating a reply to probing questions takes studying, pondering, wondering, and time. This can include writing an answer, especially when it is dealing with spiritual gospel principles. The questions were from a correspondence course, from the Institute of Religion, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The questions below were written and provided by gospel centered people. The questions were not written by the author. The questions are for you to ponder also.
Obtaining answers to the questions below takes time. The author’s answers are one possibility for healthy, good, spiritual (i.e., permanent) or temporal (i.e., temporary – meaning earth life) answers. Since every person is unique in their own beautiful right, they may answer slightly different, or in their own unique way. It’s wonderful, enlightening, and fascinating to learn from answering a question about a gospel centered principle. It is also extremely spiritually rewarding, bringing healthy growth, and sound understanding.
Feel free to write your own answers to the questions. Read the General Conference talks (internet links included at the end of each section), study, ponder, pray, and write your own answers to the various questions. Like the author, you may be surprised with the in-depth knowledge and wisdom that you’ll receive from heaven above.
Obtaining real useable answers is the goal. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a practical real entity. Simply said, Jesus the MESSIAH’S gospel is there to help people in their daily lives. This is to live so that happiness, joy, internal peace, hope for the future, and positive optimism results. Where there is vision the people prosper. (Reference Proverbs 29:18.)
Note: In writing this book, General Conference Talks, Questions, and Various Answers, each Answer
was painstakingly and spiritually, through the Power of the Holy Ghost, written so as the Spirit of the Lord would not be offended, and that the Lord Jesus the MESSIAH would be pleased. All answers are one-hundred percent (100 %) from the author. This book was written to uphold the full doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Here’s hoping there are no unforeseen errors. Yet, any unforeseen error in the authors work is unintentional and he takes full responsibility. Please note that the answers to the questions are not intended, and are not established, as official church doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The answers are to allow each one of us to learn and grow. And that’s a good thing.
In having spiritual gospel living people, from the Institute of Religion, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, review the author’s answers to the questions, frequently they would write a note in reply. During the correspondence course, the author filed the reply notes with the talks and original answers. Various reply notes have been quoted below.

Acknowledgements
Ithank all various many teachers that instructed me throughout the years. The good teachers taught that studying, reading, pondering, and understanding bring good things, such as knowledge and wisdom to the student. I hope some of this has come upon me. These many teachers, from the school grade classroom to Sunday School, are wonderful and I thank them.
I thank all the General Conference speakers throughout the decades. They truly speak by the Power of the Holy Ghost bringing the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ deep into the heart of man, woman, youth, and child. This is certainly true regarding myself. May God Almighty bless them always.
I thank my family members that encourage me to write. They have been helpful, especially my wonderful mother. It is so wonderful when family members cheer me onward, as they have many times.
I thank my mission president, Gary L. Bunker, who through his very gentle persuasion and sincere brotherly love encouraged diligent work and full gratitude in harvest. He taught so many good gospel centered ways to live and teach that this paragraph would be many pages long if I listed them all here. It’s wonderful to have such a North Star to look up to.
I thank greatly my dear sweetheart wife Susan and our five children Johnny, Michael, Megan Courtney and Chelsea. Their love, support, and help encourage me on always looking forward. Family is wonderful. It’s our family that life orbits around.
General Conference Talks
You’ll find the references (i.e., internet address) for each General Conference talk in the last part of the subject’s chapter. For obtaining the full version of the conference talks, including the footnotes, the internet site https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org contains each one. The computer world has sure made it convenient and accessible for obtaining useful good information.
The General Conference talks are from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints general conferences, which are held in April and October of each year. Note that there are a few talks taken from an ENSIGN magazine (now Liahona magazine) article, or a Brigham Young University (BYU) Devotional address, the talk not delivered during General Conference. Their reference (i.e., internet address) for the talk is in the last part of the chapter.
Faith

Questions:
How is avoiding sin a manifestation of faith?
Why doesn’t Heavenly Father show us the outcome before we do something?
Why is it necessary that we gain faith?
How does showing gratitude for what we have been given show faith in Heavenly Father?
Why does it take greater faith when we don’t necessarily get what we desire from Heavenly Father?
Questions Answered (one possibility for healthy, beneficial, good, answers):
1. How is avoiding sin a manifestation of faith? Avoiding sin and resisting temptation through prayer shows that we know God Almighty lives and we have faith in Him. Avoiding sin shows that we love our LORD and trust in Him. Also, it shows that we believe that the LORD will provide a way to escape the temptation.
.
2. Why doesn’t Heavenly Father show us the outcome before we do something? If we knew the outcome prior to doing something, then we would not need faith. We would have knowledge. Hanging in there, not knowing the outcome, yet exercising true faith in our God, regardless
