Index of Scriptures
Introduction
The preaching of the Word never seems to be out-of-season. Political, economic and social problems always need to be addressed. We need the inspiration and guidance of the Scripture, the proclamation of the mind of God. What is His answer to our needs? What is His call to us to give direction to our lives?
The messages in this book reflect His call for today, even though they were originally prepared and broadcast on radio over forty years ago. Turbulent times were the background then and the same can be said for today.
The messages carried over and printed here are for the purpose of inspiration and support in our times of special need. They come with the hope and prayer that you can be blessed and lifted by them.
Over seventy five (75) scriptures are quoted, referenced or commented on in the text of the book. A scripture index at the back of this book will be helpful in finding the messages where these scriptures are discussed or referenced.
For deeper inspiration and maybe a more life changing experience, check out the BONUS section called The System and see how the messages can mean even more to you. More uses are being developed by the author to be used in Bible study and inspirational groups.
Bonus: The System
Here is a suggestion. I call it The System.
In order to get the most meaning from the messages try this method to let them become an inner part of your life. Read them one at a time and repeat your reading for five days or a week. The repetition lets them become more and more grounded in your daily life and lets them become a part of you. Remember how many times we repeated the multiplication tables? Or how many times we have to work with a new computer program or electronic device to really become comfortable with it? Some motivational programs are based largely on listening repeatedly to tapes or cd’s, with repitions of five to seven, or even ten times. You will be surprised how something that you had hardly noticed will jump out
at you after a few repetitions and how much more clearly God can speak to you.
One suggestion for a small study group would be to pick a message to be studied the next week, then assign it to the group members to read once each day for five days to enhance the inspiration level. Then, in the group meeting discuss the inspiration, empowerment and leadership felt by each member, with the goal being to increase the spiritual results. See the website, www.LucianRudd.com for more information, helps and ideas.
