John A. Estrella, PhD, CMC, PMP, coaches solopreneurs how to start, scale, and sell profitable automated online businesses using proven strategies and systems. Preface
After clicking on so many online ads for free checklists, presentations, and webinars, I got so frustrated for wasting so much of my time.
First, several of them present shallow and regurgitated materials. There is no breadth and depth. They experienced some success applying a technique that they learned somewhere from someone, and they expect that you will be able to replicate their success. With a rented Lamborghini in the background, they attempt to project an image of success. Second, they only focus on one aspect of the problem, not the end-to-end process of running a thriving business. Third, their companies do not necessarily contribute to significant and long-lasting value for their clients. They are selling bandages, knowing that their customers need surgery.
My view of a business is different. While some entrepreneurs like to build a business that will become a public company someday, I want to start companies that will become profitable within a few months. Other entrepreneurs find thrills in hustling with investors to fund their ventures. In contrast, I like to bootstrap a company so that I can retain majority control. Several solopreneurs spend long hours running their business and creating social media content to remain in the spotlight. For me, I let my automated online business run on its own so that I can enjoy life with my family, pursue what I want, and contribute my fair share to the community.
I’ve decided to write a book trilogy about starting, scaling, and selling an automated online business with a desire to share with those who will listen. You cannot build a sustainable business by merely knowing how to run an incredible Facebook ad campaign. Creating content for YouTube or recording podcasts continuously to get more likes, shares, and comments will not do the trick. You need to master the entire process, and more importantly, you need to integrate them seamlessly together.
