She is married and has two grown up children.Mieke’s passion for making fruit ice lollies developed after she had twins. She suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) during pregnancy. Like any parent, she wanted to give her children a treat but due to her ill health, whilst expecting, she felt it was important that the treat was nutritious too.The delight on her children's faces when they were given their first fruit ice lolly, combined with the knowledge that it was nutritious too, was enormously satisfying and an inspiration for her to carry on making many more.Her paperback recipe book, Healthy Homemade Fruit Ice Lollies, was published in 2007 and sold locally and internationally through her previous website, fruitlollies.com. She started receiving enquires for her recipe book in an ebook format in 2015. The Craft Ice Lollies recipe book is the finished result.In her spare time Mieke enjoys cooking, nature, cycling and spending time with her family and friends.

    Quick & Easy Ice Lollies

    All 50 fruit recipes can be used to make ice lollies using the Quick & Easy method by simply blending the prepared fruit together and freezing the puree in the ice lolly moulds. This method generates plain ice lollies in a range of different colours and flavours.

    Craft Ice Lollies

    These are made to look much more exciting and interesting to eat by following some simple tips and instructions. Fruit is an excellent natural ingredient which comes in many different shades and colours. It is ideal to use creatively and get the children involved.
