Top Healthy Pops - Ingrid Moore
Author’s Foreword
Hello Sweet Summer!
Summer I here and I couldn’t think of a better way to relish and enjoy the sun and the heat, other than making and eating popsicles. Call it whatever you want, ice pops, paletas, ice lollies, popsies or popsicles, these frozen treats definitely make everyone feel better!
Well, of course, for you to feel better you need to make sure that you are devouring healthy ice pops! I may sound preachy most of the time, but the importance of eating and making health-friendly food cannot and will never be overstated.
Because I was overweight for almost my entire life, I have succumbed to depriving myself of the beauty of enjoying a sweet treat or two. I was too focused on losing weight and too scared to gain it all back. But I came across a friend who sells healthy popsicles, about 4 summers ago. And that was when I realized that hey! I can make delicious popsicles and eat them too!
So I did my research (Yes! I researched. I took this task very seriously!) and found awesome recipes. Tried them and soon enough I was concocting my own healthy combos. This is the reason why I have decided to make this book. I would like to personally share these amazingly satisfying and surprisingly healthy ice pops recipes. Top Healthy Pops: 50 Low Carb and Easy Homemade Ice Pops, Paletas and Popsicle Treats for Adults and Kids will help you:
Discover new ways to turn your sugar laden popsicles into something low carb, healthy and delicious.
Understand that desserts and other sweet treats do not have to be harmful to your health.
Learn new popsicle making tricks and hacks.
Learn ingredient substitutions and recipe tweaks.
Appreciate the nutritional value of each recipe.
I really hope that you will enjoy reading and trying out these recipes, because I surely did have a blast testing recipes and writing this book.
Thank you and be sure to download this book now!
Welcome the summer heat and have a popsicle or two!

Chapter One: Types of Popsicles and Other Frozen Treats
You might have encountered different popsicle or frozen treats on sticks at the frozen food section of the grocery. And whether you admit it or not, the names can get a bit confusing especially if you know that all frozen treats on sticks are known as popsicles.
History of Popsicles and Fun Facts
Popsicles were originally and accidentally created by an 11-year-old boy from Oakland, California. Back in 1903, Frank Epperson made them to beat the summer heat. It was only in 1922 when he first made it public and served them at a Fireman’s ball and called his creations as Epsicles. Soon everyone wanted to have a taste of these frozen treats.
