When you are facing any challenge, especially one that is very difficult or dangerous, courage can help you be strong and prevail. Courage has long been valued and honored as a virtue. It is commonly associated with acts of bravery, such as in a war or if someone does something daring and risky. The risk could be almost anything, from climbing a sheer mountain cliff or taking a leap of faith to engage in an uncertain business deal.
Courage is also seen as a needed quality to overcome a major challenge in life, such as to fight a dreaded disease or to succeed despite a disability. Additionally, one may need courage to break through a limiting belief or barrier in order to achieve greatness. Or one may need this quality to stand alone against others who have a different opinion or may be an enemy.
