CHAPTER ONE

THE WOMAN

It occurred to me more imperatively recently, that the work women all over the world are doing; is with extra ordinary power, with greater emphases that there is nothing a woman cannot do if she sets her heart to do it. This notch continued silently until one day the word came to me which forms the title of this book Woman as a Record Breaker. Consequently, I had a growing need to write a book concerning the power of a woman with the help of the Holy Spirit.

WOMAN: What did God say concerning the woman and how did she come into being?

In the beginning the Bible says God made man in His own image, but how did He make man and how did He make the woman? Genesis 1:27 so God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.

Going by this Bible verse it is needless to say that, whether man or woman, we all were created in the very image of God. For that reason we are all equal before God. Chapter two throws more explanation on how God created them. The Bible is written in such a unique style, especially concerning the inspired story of the creation, it first gives the summarizing statement of creation before going further to break it down, hence, it presents a more vivid explanation of the Genesis 1:27 in Genesis 2:7 the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living being.

If you ponder the above verse carefully, the Bible does not talk about the woman yet; it only talks of the man. This implies that the Lord had not yet created the woman. One may ask why did God not create man and the woman at the same time? Well, He is the All knowing God and He is the God that makes everything in his perfect way. However, let’s consider how God made the woman and why he made her.

Genesis 2:20b-23 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep: and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 then the Lord God made woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man.

Here comes the question why did God not create the woman in the same way he created the man? Why did he create the woman in a different way not from the dust?

Before God created the woman there was obviously no suitable helper for the man, so God wanted to make a suitable helper, and this awaited-for personality could not have ended up being such a usual one, but someone that had to be really appropriate to occupy the position of what a woman represents. One who could be there to fill in the gap, take the work, and be there for the man as an amiable partner, comforter and all the man needed. That role had to be taken by somebody who could be strong enough to shoulder the load and burden; this must be exactly what was in the mind of God while creating the woman therefore; He created the woman to be distinct from the man. The help God was creating for the man in the woman had to be an apt helper in all ways, being capable to meet up with the demands of taking care of the man and not becoming a burden. All of these portray God as the All-knowing personality, having a grasp of the end from the very beginning; He made all things perfect (including the woman).

So God created the man from the dust and the woman from the man’s ribs. No wonder the woman is strong, overwhelmingly caring and bears all things, she can do all things and can never stop at nothing, that is why you can never see a woman so weak that she cannot stand by her man, that is where their super natural power comes from.

From the beginning the woman was not created to be enslaved, she was created to be loved, cared for and to be respected by her man as a pertinent, apposite, fitting helper to him. When she is loved and cared for that is when she brings out the best in her filling her home with joy and happiness.

Let me drop this as personal counsel to the male folks. The female is not to be treated as a slave in her own house by you, if treated as one; you will not even want to stay in your own house. She will see you as a boss; she will live in her home with fear and agonies. Her emotions will hurt and she will not freely demonstrate her real self, don’t be surprised what you will have in return, you will have nothing better than an unhappy and a petulant home. Never hurt a woman's feeling or you get what you don’t want. Try a woman when she is happy she can sacrifice her very self for the man she loves. When a woman gets tired of what you are forcing her to do, brother, be ready to receive the consequences. If you want to see your home filled with joy, make your woman happy and I bet you, you will never regret it. Well, this book is about the woman and wouldn’t address the men for too long.

Every woman should always consider that God created the man first, this naturally places the man as the head. The woman should never forget this fact, even though we are equal before God, everyone has his or her role to play. The woman was actually made for the man and not the other way round. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 for man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit to your husband as to the lord. Many men quote this verse to enslave their wives, hence; despising the reality of the fact that whatever you do with obligation sooner or later you get tired of.

The woman should be submissive to her husband with love, always reminiscing she was created to be the man's helper. Why did Adam say in Genesis 2:23 …this is the bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman? That was because she was taken from the man, a reality he confessed immediately he saw her. This elucidates the specialty of the woman and the very important role she plays in the life of man. It is amazing that the woman was the last creature the Lord God created after which He rested from all His work. The woman was therefore a wrap up of creation, every good stored up must have been used to build the woman. What wonder God has made as the woman!

Having reflected on how God fashioned the woman and the reason why she was created -to play a very important role in the world, permit me to say that woman is the best; a very important gift that God gave to the whole world. Now let's see the role of a woman.

What are the roles of a woman: A woman is a wife, a mother, a friend, comforter, helper, adviser, teacher, nurse, cook, seamstress, maid, nanny, waitress, alarm clock, security officer, counselor, laundry and a giver, to mention but a few. These are usually the roles of a woman at home. She never gets tired or go for holiday she never get sick, even when she is sick no body notice it because she continue in her house work, and nobody is paying her for all the work she is doing. She work 24 hours without rest, she is the first to wake up and the last person to go to sleep she can do many work at a time and she never complain, what is important to her is the joy of the family, no one care about her, but she care about everybody. How could she have done all these if a special power had not been deposited in her?

Dr. Myles Munroe (of blessed memories) insisted that the woman multiplies whatever she is given. The woman is an incubator. An incubator is a machine that gives life to everything, whatever you give an incubator, it gives it life and gives back to you, whatever you give an incubator it multiplies and gives back to you; that’s what the woman does. The woman can both build and bring down a person, it depends on what she is given. A good woman can change a bad man but a good man can never change a bad woman; this is because of the power that is in her, she can use it for good or she can use it for bad and whatever she uses it for, she comes out of it very well. Don’t ever underrate the power of a woman small or big.

Don’t misunderstand me; I’m not saying that the power that God deposited in a woman is for evil, it is for good; to be used for a suitable helper, and that is another reason why majority of the women today are the ones that use their power for good. There is a saying that behind every successful man there is always a woman. In the midst of all these, one may ask, Why is the devil from the very beginning against the woman and not the man? Because he knows already of the power in her, that nothing can bring a man down more than the power of a woman and nothing can build a man more than the power of a woman. The devil knows this from the beginning and so stops at nothing to frustrate the woman’s innate strength. A Woman can actually use her power to get whatever she wants.

Genesis 3:1-6 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman. Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? 2 the woman said to the serpent, we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘you must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ 4. You will not surely die. The serpent said to the woman. 5. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. 6. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

The men are the head but the women are the neck, the head cannot move until the neck moves, man is the head but the woman is the neck that commands the head. That battle between the woman and the serpent since then has not stopped, he is still doing everything to destroy the woman, what has been said has been said; it is the seed of the woman that will crush the serpent’s head v.15. And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel. It's not the woman, but the seed of the woman, Jesus

By now, you should have gotten a glimpse of the background of study that traces the origin of who the woman is, her spiritual make up and position in the life of the man and the larger society. Her role is vital and important and nothing has changed. Nothing therefore can stand in the way of a woman from using what I call the power of a woman.

CHAPTER TWO

THE RECORD BREAKER

Who is a record breaker? Record breakers are those who do something that no one else has done, who brings something that is not existing to being, they are the ones that make a difference wherever they go, they don’t and will not allow anybody or anyone to intimidate them and no one or nothing can stand or stop them.

Record breakers do not and can never give up no matter what, they don’t take no for an answer, even when the going gets tough, they don’t just sit down and wait for something to happen or change, but they go out to make something happen and to make a change -to change situations
