Time waits for no one, and it won’t wait for me.
As days blend into weeks, months, and years, some cannot believe how fast life goes on?
I agreed to meet Penny, she was from a small rural town some time ago, just like my small town.
We made plans to meet for a coffee. The only similarity between the two of us was the loss of a child, our son’s.
Both boys have died too young, both seeming to have adventure and life in front of them.
We, Penny, and I and our families remember dates, our resolve, our learnings, and our teachings and goals to effect change for the betterment of all. Mainly for youth and ultimately the world.
We may have some times and events confused and blend some but make no mistake; we were committed to our roles for a change.
Penny reacted to her life-changing crisis the same as we did with ours. We both saw the commitment to advocate for change and the many similar issues in our youth, schools, communities, and yes, the world in the tragic deaths of 2 young men.
We conversed, conspired, planned, and attended each other’s events.
We still have the dream to continue our goal to make something better for our youth.
We have had many people come along, stand us up, brush us off, and push us forward. I know I speak for both of us; thank You too all.
As I said, time waits for no one, but all we have is time.
Go, Penny, you helped, you made me better, and we appreciate the love and support.
Peace

My heart is full when I speak of my daughters, Marsha I Knapp and Melanie M McLeod. They are truly my rock at times. They never judge me when I say I need to write a book about surviving life’s struggles. At the time of my life experience with my firstborn, Laura, the girls were very young (ages two and one). They were pretty much unaware of their sister dying. This book will also introduce their children, my grandchildren, to their aunt whom they never knew nor did they know her story.
Melanie commented on a project I was working on some years ago: "Very well-done, Mother! So thorough and well written, almost like you can tell it has come from the heart! From someone who cares and
