    Introduction

Most black people, if given a choice, wish to have been white. The question is why black people are doing this? The world has attached black colour to evil, ugly and bad things. This have made everyone to hate black colour. Black ladies and even black guys are busy turning their skins to become white (light) using chemical substances. The industry of producing skin lightening or skin bleaching products is growing fast because black people no longer want to remain dark. Black guys no longer want to marry dark ladies; they all want to marry what they call ‘yellow bones’. And this has caused every black lady to use skin lightening chemicals in order to become light in complexion.

The world has attached black colour with darkness. The fact that darkness is black in colour does not mean that every black thing has darkness in itself. Yes, darkness spiritually symbolises evil deeds (Ephesians 5:11) but that does not mean a dark thing is an evil thing. Coming back to human beings, it is not only the skin colour that is different between black and white people. The difference between races is beyond skin colour; backgrounds and battles of different races are different.

What black men must fight to be successful is different to what white men must fight. The problem is we have compared races but God have uniquely created different races. Let us hear the words of the Psalmist:

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. (Psalm 139:14)

Black or White people, God took His time to fearfully and wonderfully create you. In Genesis 1:27, it is written that human beings were created in the image of God. Black, brown, coloured or white people; all people are created in
