    To be perfectly honest, the fangs caught me off guard. I had prepared for the slightly higher voice, the gently rounded jawline, the lack of facial hair. Jonathan wasn’t going to be like the guys I usually dated. I had known that when I had, after some internal debate, agreed to meet for drinks. But fangs, too?

    Ah, sorry. Yeah. I guess I should have mentioned I was also a vampire, as well as a trans guy, he said.

    His voice was soothing and melodic as he stood awkwardly across the table from me, having stood up politely when I came in.
