Trevor Noah is an internationally renowned South African comedian. His memoir, Born a Crime: Stories from A South African Childhood, is an account of his childhood in South Africa. He was born under the apartheid regime which prohibited interracial marriages and had made it a punishable crime. However, his mother was a black Xhosa South African and his father was a white Swiss European. The title refers to the fact that Noah’s birth itself was a crime under
