About this ebook

Are you ready to go to the next level of hearing God? It's time! When you talk about hearing God, most church pastors just say "Ask God what to do" in one of their sermons. But there is a problem! This vague laxadazical approach to hearing God is not enough! The church needs more! Are you ready to really hear God in a way you can understand, and is practical as well as spiritual and emotional? Come let's take a journey together and learn the 9 steps to hearing God!

    Dedication

    ____________

This book is dedicated to my Grandmother,

    Roberta C. Burke

She taught me so much about the peace and love of God. She went to be with Jesus in the process of getting this book done, so I know this one was for her.

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

    John 12:24 (NIV)

May many seeds be planted into people’s hearts by the reading of this book.

    Introduction

    ____________

Did you know that you can hear the voice of God? Yes, you! God is desperately longing to speak to you, and most likely He already has been speaking to you, but you may not have known that it was Him. Understanding how to know if God is speaking to you is the real question at hand.

First of all, you must be aware that we live in a spiritual reality as well as a physical reality at the same time. There are many things out there speaking to you, and this book will help you figure out exactly what is speaking to you.

If you begin praying (or even if you are just about your everyday life) and hear a voice, it could be many different things. First, it could be you, or more specifically your heart, mind or body speaking to you. Your heart contains your emotions and represents how you are feeling at the moment. Your mind may tell you what the logical thing to do is in a situation based on the knowledge it has. Your body may be concerned about your physical needs such as eating, sleeping, exercising, etc. None of these are God. However, these things should still be paid attention to, as your body is a temple of God and you should treat it well.

…your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own

    1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)

Imagine your body being like your church, you wouldn’t go into church on Sunday and just throw papers around, knock over chairs and spill drinks! No, you would respect it as you know it is the house of God. Well you must realize that you too are a house of God, and must take the same care for yourself. However, as much as you should listen to your temple and what it is saying to you, this is NOT the voice of the Lord.

You may also hear other voices that tell you
