Selah Daily Devotion - Co-Pastor Ann Caffee

Selah Daily Devotion: Month of July 2015

    Author Spot Light

    Co-Pastor Ann Caffee

A native Washingtonian, at least out doors (inside the house was straight North Carolina), Ann was the second born of seven siblings.  She was educated in the D.C. Public Schools and upon graduation from high school, jumped right into 'I'm Every Woman See Me Roar' pop-culture hype of the 60's and 70's. And off she went. She was wife, Mother, D.C. and federal government employee and part-time under-grad .student That is until the dream became a nightmare and the Wonder Woman syndrome came to a screeching climax.

Co-Pastor Ann invites us to join her as she sojourns on towards The High Calling of Christ Jesus. Hopefully, she says, as you glean through these pages, you'll discover some crumbs that entice, encourage and strengthen your pursuit of your own personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

    FAITH TALKS!

    July 1, 2015

    SELAH Daily Devotions

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrew 11:1

Contrary to this contemporary New Millennium thinking, faith is not a new theological doctrine. Biblical faith doesn’t have to be complicated. Genuine Faith is simply a patient confident trust in the integrity and power of our Loving and Caring Heavenly Father!

Faith is the currency of exchange in God’s Kingdom. The Bible emphatically states that we can’t even approach The Living God without first believing that He is Who He says He is and we can’t expect to get anything from God unless we believe that He is able to do everything He says He will do.

Hebrew11:1 says, "NOW" faith, not THEN faith. So what's ur point? Well,The Eternal God reigns from Everlasting to Everlasting and because Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews13:8) we can expect Him to be the same God NOW that He’s always been!

Them Ol’ Church Mothers used to encourage themselves while waiting on their Lord by singing faith songs like "GOD Specializes" andI know the Lord Will Make a Way, Somehow. Their hope, just like ours, was not in what we can see now, but what we can expect God to do. Faith says "I don’t know when and I don’t know how, but I just believe that God is already working on my situation; turning everything around to work in my favor! (Romans8:28)

Unfortunately too many of God's people continue calling those things that are as if they're never going to change!  And guess what, they won't! That is until you  engage your mouths to call what  you're believing God to manifest in your life!

Faith is not limited by our natural eyes...but says, I don’t have to see it to believe it! FAITH TALKS!

    ITZ ALL ABOUT THE CROWN!

    July 2, 2015

    SELAH Daily Devotions

"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." Revelations 2:10-11

PARDON ME, again! I know this isn't religiously correct, how---evrrrr sometimes, it's just hard! Here you are, as the ol' saints used to say, 'living all u know how 2 live for JESUS', with everything in you clingilng to The Testimony of God's Faithful Witness, who is TRUTH, YET!!!  Seriously, none of us normal human beings enjoy suffering, right?

Nevertheless, life has taught you (and even the Word admonishes us) that those who Name the Name of Jesus must expect trouble. After all, even Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered! (Ref. Hebrew 5:8) Yeah, but but butt...I feelya, okay? Yet God has sovereignly linked suffering and glory into the lives of those who have confessed their trust in His Plan for our lives. Remember the words of The Apostle Paul?  "As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Roman 8:36

I know, sometimes that doesn't help much! BUT, we have this confidence that before God permits sporadic seasons of tribulations He sets an expiration date before the test begin! Soooo glad, trouble don't last always!

Beloved, there's always a greater purpose behind our pain! And no, it ain't always God punshing you for your disobedience! For His own reasons, God has elected to allow test, trials and trouble along the landscape of our journey  to draw us closer to Him, to purify, purge and position us to partake of His Divine Nature—HOLINESS!

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

This life has a way of putting you through the ringer, huh? But God has decreed, that  nothing you will ever experiene can separate you from
