Foreword
This general purpose book was written to fill the gaping hole in most people's education: human physiology and how to exercise. Practically everybody has been to a gym in their lifetime, and most people have some rudimentary knowledge on exercise, bench this, lift that, run a couple miles there. However, both of us cringe every time we walk into a gym and see people deadlifting and squatting with rounded lower backs or standing in front of the mirror every day doing bicep curls. This book is the result of extensive research that we have conducted over years of training and is intended to be a starting point for beginners to learn how to exercise. Rather than forcing people new to training to spend 20+ hours researching (or just giving up and just starting to work out
incorrectly), one can now find much of the necessary information needed in this book. This book is not specifically suited for a single sport, but rather gives the reader the knowledge on how to train and how to change their training to suit the needs of their sport. Workout plans are provided for a variety of interests, including powerlifting, bodybuilding, calisthenics training, weight loss, and general athletes.
