1. Pure Religion according to God

James 1:27

27 Pure religion and undefiled

before God and the Father is this,

To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,

and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

This particular verse is taken from the Bible in the book of James. Here, the apostle James is admonishing the believers concerning the commandments of God. He ends the first chapter by reminding them that if anyone would brag about being religious, that person should remember that to be religious is to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction. James could have ended right there, but he went on further by adding ....to keep himself (the religious man) unspotted from the world.

Religion is regarded in the modern time we live in as an organized organization that gathers people from all background who shares similar beliefs in certain doctrines, particularly under the faith of God, or faith in something else. In each religion, there are main prophets in whom the people learn how to live their lives according to their teachings. They all tend to claim that their sole purpose is to help the helpless and those who are poor in the society.

This is what religions claim to be about, but we will let you, the reader, decide for yourself by doing your own research to find out if that is true
