A Note from the Author

When I first began writing this book I initially found it somewhat difficult to have a heart that was fully submissive to God’s love. I have found that when God’s love is used in real world situations that the majority of us have a lack of love.  I am happy to testify that after writing these daily devotionals throughout the years that it has helped my mind and heart to dwell in the love of God. I encourage you to join me today! If I had to sum up the entire book into one sentence it would simply be that love as given by God will perform successfully in situations when your love may fail you. Remember that there is always room in all situations for God’s love. This love is easily obtained by believing in the promises of God and Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for all mankind. It is also important to note that during this process you may find yourself lacking in some other area as difficulties are brought upon you. I am here as God called me to write this book and tell everyone that it is perfectly normal to admit that your love has (and will) come short.  The ultimate goal is to strive for that perfect maturity as a Christian which is built on the foundation of love. Paul in very eloquent writing opened this concept by reminding us that we could have all of the gifts of God yet without the love to operate them the impact we have on lives is essentially meaningless.

This book has challenged me and comes from a variety of circumstances, including: singing and preaching, executing leadership, counseling, maintaining strong friendships, working, performing outreach, etc. There were a multitude of tough situations, difficult challenges and seemingly impossible scenarios that involved things as obscure as the weather followed up by things as direct confrontations about my obedience for God. The greatest part to testify about all of these trials is that God was there in each and every battle. Praise God to the highest for that!  I want to personally thank every difficult situation, abrasive object, person, and venue for giving me my greatest chance to know what it means to feel the power of rejoicing in my tribulation. You are not my enemy, nor is anything holding me captive in my heart. I embrace the challenges of life with God’s love and want to let all of my greatest enemies and critics know that while people may despitefully use me that I am desperately praying for them! 

Enjoy the book. Stay close to God, and be a leader through God’s love. You will overcome through Christ!
