About this ebook

Do you have a habit of choosing partners and friends that are unhealthy and unstable? Are you struggling with addiction, alcoholism, abuse, or other forms of dysfunction? Are you an entrepreneur looking for a way to improve the quality of life at home?

My name is Kristen Burkhardt-Hanson and I’m a recovering alcoholic and master of self-sabotage! I have spent years in relationships that were heart-breaking and dysfunctional. I also worked my butt off at dead-end jobs never reaching that level of success I have always envisioned.

I finally learned how to rid myself of that misery and create a marriage and a business that brings me happiness and success.

Although this book is written from a dysfunctional relationship coaching aspect, learning how to have healthy relationships over-all is a powerful step in your business success strategy.

Quick Start Guide to Relationship Recovery teaches you 6 ways to create clarity and prosperity in your life and business!

    Introduction

If you have found this quick start guide then you are probably having some pretty big problems in your marriage or relationship right now. Maybe your problems have been long running or maybe something new was discovered recently and it has left you deeply upset. You may have just been in the midst of a terrible argument and have been yelling, screaming, crying, and possibly threatening or hearing the threats of divorce. Or maybe your spouse has just walked out the door and you have no idea what to do next.

I have been there; believe me, more than once. I know how painful and scary it can be when an argument explodes into a screaming match and it ends with either someone walking out the door or someone getting hurt.

You sit there afterwards wondering how in the world that conversation exploded into such a gigantic mess. How did talking about my feelings escalate into this horrible event? Why is he screaming at me? Why is he walking away from me? Why doesn’t anyone hear me??!! This happens time and time again and it seems there is no way out of this vicious circle of arguing.

How can you begin to put the pieces back together with repeated behavior such as this? Do you want to put the pieces back together? There may be so many thoughts running through your head right now that you can’t even think straight. For the next few moments I invite you to just sit down with me, take a few deep breaths, and try to bring yourself into a calmer state. I have a little something here that can help you gain perspective of the situation and help you create a way to change the course of your relationship or marriage.

You teach best what you most need to learn.

My name is Kristen Burkhardt-Hanson and I am a Relationship Recovery Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Ordained Minister. Along with my husband Leif, we own the Heart to Heart Relationship Recovery Institute where work with couples who are in dysfunctional relationships. Dysfunction is a learned and/or genetic behavioral pattern that impedes individuals from achieving their highest potential. Abuse, addictions, alcoholism, co-dependency, divorce, infidelity, sexual assault and more can be the result of and can contribute to dysfunctional behavior.

I have been through all of these situations and more; I know first-hand what it is like to watch my world fall apart right in front of my eyes, multiple times. I know what it is like to be drowning in a relationship feeling unable to save myself. That is why I do the work I do and why I wrote this book, and others, to help people just like myself discover why it is their life is in shambles and more importantly how do we create a new life.

Through our education to become holistic healthcare professionals we have learned through our own realizations and healing that this kind of work helped restore us to fully functioning professional people. I have been sober for 4 years after 30 years of drinking, smoking, using drugs, and engaging in less than desirable behavior. We have found that through relationship recovery coaching, clinical hypnotherapy, and building a spiritual foundation we were able to release the thoughts and beliefs that have held both of us back in life. Because it worked so amazingly well for us and our marriage teaching other couples how to find their way has become our life’s passion and mission. We are fully committed to your success!
