Through My Eyes - Michael Nunez
thankful.
1,000 Times
Turn your back and walk away
With no idea what I have done
The rain drops sting my face
Masking my tears as you walk away
How many times can I say
I'm sorry
How many times will you
Laugh in my face
It has been said
A thousand times before
How am I
Supposed to trust you
So you have come
Crawling back to me
With tears in your eyes
Try to tell me some sad story
You dropped me for him
Because he has more money
And look what happened
It had finally come around
You fucked him behind my back
never giving it a second thought
But little did you know
It would soon bite you in the ass
So here we are
Six months later
You are begging me
To take you back
I sit and pretend
To listen to you cry
But all i can think
It serves you right
As I walk away
To carry on my life
I hear you say
I'm sorry
Another Day
Another day
Living with
What you have done
No peace to come
For your soul
As you see me move on
And live my life
You can't help but wish
That somewhere inside
I still love you
But you threw away
Everything that we had
Just to suit your needs
And killed a part of me
That I can never get back
So sit back and watch
As I slowly get over you
And live my life in peace
Free from the hell
That you created for me
I will watch you wince
As you realize what you have done
And what you have lost
The one person that made you happy
The one you truly loved
A single tear
Falls from your eye
As I walk away
I hear you whisper
I'm sorry.
Awakening
Early morning sunshine
Warms my back
Sitting on this park bench
Pouring out my heart
Looking up from this paper
Watching every one begin their day
Slowly it dawns on me
This isn't such a bad place
So call
