The King James Version of the Bible was the basic source for Biblical references.

The Reason for writing this paper

The main reason for the research and compiling this data is what was said on the national news one evening during the summer of 2013.  I didn’t get the young man’s name or write down the date, so I can’t say who he was or the exact date.  All I remember is that I was in a minor state of shock at his comment.  He stated that, in reference to opposition to people being homosexual, they had to get rid of that BULLS__T in the Bible.

I decided that if he was that concerned about what the Bible said, maybe I should take a closer look.  I looked, and found that the Lord’s commandments prohibiting these unnatural acts has not changed.  Neither has the consequences.

On 26 June 2015, the US Supreme Court announced, regardless of majority requests and existing law, that same-sex marriage was now legal nationwide.
